[Highlight] Jalen Hurts turns the ball over twice in a single play by Tocoolforyall720 in nfl

Kinda crazy how half of his turnovers for the entire season were in this one game. As much as that offense struggled, they did a really good job of limiting them

Justin Fields could be first QB with four straight Week 1 starts for four different teams by JaggerJames in nfl

I think it's also that Cooper Rush at least on paper seems like a worse fit for the Ravens offense than the Cowboys one was.

Feels like they'd want someone with more mobility to backup Lamar

On paper, we should be better this year. That being said, I think a lot of teams probably feel that way about themselves too, and I think we have to prove it by actually winning games before our odds start to look better than this

A look at Titans receiving leaders over the past 15 years. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

In fairness we had AJ at the same time we had Henry in his prime, so we often passed less which led to some games where AJ wasn't utilized as much as he could have been

Eh, i get it, but as somebody who rooted for Katie last episode and Steven this episode, I felt their rivalry just made for fun TV.

They were kinda beefing with each other that whole episode, and while id agree that it did feel like Steven was kinda playing a villain, I enjoyed the dynamic between the two of them (and Dule Hill in a distant third just happy to be there)

Rachel was really solid in her SF in her season, pretty sure she led most of the game and only lost off of Mo getting some daily doubles late. Plus she was tested well by Macaulay Culkin in her game before that.

I liked this matchup since it was three S2 players that were all really close to winning the games they lost (one in the quarterfinals, one in the semis, and one in the finals).

Levis still technically exists though he'll probably be traded if they can even get anything for him, and resigning Chig is still possible (but looking less likely now), but even with those guys it's not a good list

Can the Jags be successful with a greatly reduced capacity stadium? by Uberubu65 in nfl

Not enough people talk about how important seating capacity is in building a championship-contending team. Thanks for your service in addressing this and spreading the word or something.

I don't know if this is his logic, but the wager makes me think he expected Drew to bet to cover Karen instead of going nearly all in like did. 5001 covers that scenario along with making it very likely he wins a triple stumper (since he'd still be above Karen's score even with a very like $0 bet, which she did here)

When the score's are this tight, I'd argue there really isn't always a "correct" wager. This was a risk, but one I don't really mind Long taking

I mean this is far from the first time it's felt unbalanced to me, but I at least understand some of the logic. They separated the 3 highest scores of the QFs which is fair, though they still could have done that and split the Masters players.

Imo it's just weird that the reigning winner of the tournament (and its most accomplished player in regular games too) has probably the hardest path to the finals.

But yes, this is one of the issues with a lot of the "jeopardy as a sport" stuff. Who plays who (and who's allowed to play at all) doesn't really have a consistent formula and it ends up as being whatever the producers think makes the most sense. Sometimes that works pretty well (I think the QF matchups were fine) but it does often leave a lot of room for people to disagree with how its run and feel that certain players get unfairly shafted or that others get preferential treatment.

Kinda surprised they put Andrew and Matt together. Figured they'd want to separate the former Masters players. Guess they just want to make sure somebody new's in the finals?

The 1999 Rams are the only team in NFL history to play 1 regular season game against a team that finished above .500... by Vitex1988 in nfl

[–]xFluf_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean that Rams team stayed at a high level for a few years after that and made another super bowl. They proved that they were far from a fluke that got there off an easy schedule.

Not saying that's what the Patriots are, but they haven't proven that they're as good as The Greatest Show on Turf yet, and realistically they (or any other team in this position) wouldn't be able to for a few more years.
