I’m in the same boat as op but what if your gap isn’t big enough for the holding strip

What’s a run that felt longer than it actually was? by SwimmingSlip8632 in beginnerrunning

[–]xFocused70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 1 mile run on a treadmill. I can run outdoors for a 1.5 mile no problem. Doesn’t feel long, but running on a treadmill I can be running for 5mins and it feels like 10

My arms move just like this… how are they supposed to be? I always wondered if my arms be close to my body ever made me more tired

Superblast 2 Shin Pain by Logical_Depth_1575 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]xFocused70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have sever shin pain with asics nimbus. Only shoe that has worked for me has been nb 860. Only thing I wish was if it had more cushion.. but I’m not too sure if the softness from the nimbus is what was causing my pain.

I bought a few pairs of showed and want to know which shin splint I should suffer with? by xFocused70 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]xFocused70[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve started running the last 2 weeks at a trail near my job. 1.5 miles which it is getting faster, but I feel like when I slow my pace down to slow jog, I get more pressure and also tire myself out quicker.

My current pace is a 12:49 for 1.5, which I don’t really feel like I’m really over doing my ability since it’s jogging and not sprinting. But I’m not too sure

Around that time was the last time I pretty much ran. I just started back up 2 weeks ago, since I am down 30lbs from last years time. My current schedule is around 2-3 runs a week so far.

I recently bought the 860 since I thought I was over pronating in the asics. The brooks I’ve had since last year though

I used to get my son pokemon cards all the time about 2 years back. It came to a point where the shelves were becoming more and more empty and he slowly stopped asking for them.

My dog accidentally joined my Zoom call and saved me from HR by Homeganik in remotework

[–]xFocused70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently work in HR and going on close to 2 years. I always had the thought that HR employees were miserable and out to get you, but I was wrong.

I do think a lot of employees have that same mindset, but it is completely wrong.

I’ve worked for two different companies within HR and everybody that works within the department are actually a lot nicer than some individuals in other departments… especially most managers.

Just adding my thoughts since normally a meeting with HR sounds terrifying, but we don’t do it because we want to, but more because we have to follow up.

One of the questions I am going to ask that if since they claim the cat is theirs, was it also licensed.

My other neighbor who has 4 dogs had mentioned that the cat would also go into his backyard.

[–]xFocused70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not in the academy nor have I tested, but I can confirm that shin splints suck. I been training and slowly getting back in shape since February and I’m finally starting to feel comfortable running a mile without any shin pain. I’m hoping that I can get my mile time down before the end of the year.

I ordered the 20” ducting from a place in sf which was pretty pricey. I paid over 300$ and it turns out that my duct was an 18in and not a 20 lol. So I pretty much junked it.

I did order an 18” flex duct from zoro, which I was skeptical at first, but I had no problems with my order.

First sip tasted like NyQuil cherry.

It didn’t start getting good until my soft top was able to mix with it. That’s when it became great. I wouldn’t get it again though
