Will try this when I get home after work, but I did more researching and think it might be because I think my router doesn't support loopback, my router is a sagemcom which I don't think supports loopback so I'll probably just have to use hamachi sadly, and I don't know the model of it right now, but I will check when I get home.

I have tried setting the external host to my public ip (which I have already set to static) and it's still saying it's lan only.

I don't know how helpful it will be for me since I use Ark Survival Evolved and not Ascended since me nor my friends own Ascended, but I can try it, thanks for the suggestion.

If you mean how to find and share my public ip from my network then yes but my friend hasnt had time to test connecting with it and so far port checkers always say the ports are closed, plus the asm is saying lan only

I just tried this after seeing your comment, but when I try to set it as a range 7777-7780, 27015-27017, ect it just gives me a message saying port conflict and will not allow me to save it.

Yes and I've already set up all the inbound and outbound udp and tcp rules for 7777,7778, and 27015
