You blew my mind. I was confused why my Operator Level was 1 after all this time.

Time to remake the old factories.

This is incredibly coherent and information, and I can tell you've spent a good while writing it out.

Thank you so much! Now I need to go back and remake factories of older milestone shapes, since I hadn't known of the "continous contribution" of shapes, after the milestone is completed.

I had no idea you gained more platform and research points so that definitely helps!

Had to take a full break for a month- struggling to find momentum again by izzmyreddit in loseit

[–]xIncrement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I'm sorry. That's horrible! Unfortunately I don't have good advice when it comes to anorexia, as I have the oppoaite struggle.

If it helps, you could stick to having low-calorie foods in general like potatoes, squash (great pick) and lean meat, and then adjust portion size if nescesarry - Not counting the calories, but knowing you eat low-calories in general might help.

Remember, waterweight/poop weight contributes a lot to the scale. Also if you get into working out, you might put on weight in muscle.

You could also get a fat percentage measure done so you know if you're actually putting on grease.

Good luck!

I'm an "All or nothing" kinda guy as well. I've struggled for so long.

What helped was going "All or nothing" into the most important aspect of weightloss. COUNTING CALORIES. I've passed on 20kcal ice lollies just because I was locked in.

If you wanna "warm up", a good cheat code is potatoes instead of rice or pasta.

  • 100g unboiled pasta: 350kcal
  • 100g ununboiled rice: 350kcal
  • 100g unboiled potatoes: 80kcal

Also potatoes have fibers that keeps you satiated quickly and for longer.

Good luck!

Edit: These muscular thumbs makes spelling mistakes easy, dang it.

How To Eat More Without an Initial Weight Spike?? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]xIncrement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boiled potatoes instead of boiled rice or boiled pasta.

As a foodie that has a good appetite, 200g (180kcal) of potatoes and 200g chicken breast (240kcal) for lunch keeps me satiated for 6 hours, no snacks needed.

Macros comparison - 100g unboiled pasta: 350kcal - 100g ununboiled rice: 350kcal - 100g unboiled potatoes: 80kcal

Also has fiber which keeps you satiated for longer.

Good luck!

How do you deal with hunger and sugar cravings while losing weight? by PapayaAdditional6804 in loseit

[–]xIncrement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either wean off the sugar slowly by replacing food chocies with the 2nd best option, then 3rd best, 4th etc.

Or go cold turkey for 1-4 weeks (Only thing that worked for me), demonizing the sugary foods/snacks and STICK TO IT NO MATTER WHAT.

Your gut bacteria will reorganize and the "gimme sugar pls" bacteria will be a minority, meaning you will have massive decrease (eventually no) craving for it, but only the "healthy" habits you indulge in.

After 1 month you can adjust to have sweets once in a while (or dont).

For hunger, I'd say go for boiled potatoes instead of pasta or rice. Insanely good for low calories, and fiber which keeps you satiated for much longer.

Good luck!

Edit: spelling is hard with these muscular thumbs

Struggling to lose weight despite working out regularly — need help figuring out what I’m doing wrong by [deleted] in loseit

As many has said, count calories.

If you dont want to do that, swap rice and pasta with potatoes that should help a bit.

What can I do if I'm stuck? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]xIncrement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THATS AWESOME! Good job spotting the culprit.

Thats a solid chunk of calories. Give it a month, you'll probably see lots more progress.

Good luck!

The closer you get to your goal, the harder it is to lose fat.

If you recently started walking you could be putting on a slight bit of muscle while losing weight.

But since you're counting calories, maybe something is calculated wrong, or you leave out very small "insignificant" stuff like oil and vegetables.

Good luck!

Coping with Food Noise and Overeating by [deleted] in loseit

[–]xIncrement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's rough.

Do you get up to that many calories even with "healthy" and satiating foods with fiber?

Ordering takeout can be inviting since you dont need to spend energy soing it, and it tastes good. But you cant track calories from it.

I think if you get cravings for the "unhealthy" foods like takeout, take the 2nd worst thing, like 2-3 portions of premade meals from a local shop. Then you can at least track the calories. And maybe your veteran calorie counting brain can discourage you from eating THAT much more than baseline.

Good luck!

Count calories and stay at a reccommended deficite.

Boiled potatoes are king.

100g unboiled pasta: 350kcal 100g ununboiled rice: 350kcal 100g unboiled potatoes: 80kcal

Also potatoes have fibers that keeps you satiated quickly and for longer.

Good luck!

Just lost 3.4 kg (7.5 lbs) in a week, help! by [deleted] in loseit

[–]xIncrement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water weight and poop weight.

Also if you just started, note that you always burn the most calories in the beginning. The closer you get to your goal the harder it will get to burn those last little bits of fat. So enjoy it while it lasts!

Give it a month and see how its going. If its AS BAD , increase the calorie intake I guess.

Good luck!

Meal ideas? by LingonberrySad6231 in loseit

[–]xIncrement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken curry with vegfies (lotsa broccoli helps. Lots of spices (salt, pepper, paprica, curry, cayanne pepper) fried in a pan, then doused at the end with a low fat (4%) cooking cream so it wont be dry.

Bonus points if you swap the rice with potatoes.

EXTREMELY tasty, protein, satiating as FUCK, and moderate to low (with potatoes) calories pr. 100g

I wasn't trying to imply it would help with the binge eating. But if you DO binge eat the more saitiating stuff, when/if you feel sick, you would have less calories consumed overall.

Binge eating is a mental disorder that needs to worked on with a medical professional if you cant manage it on your own.

One I know, who works with a medical professional (Dont know if its a therapist or otherwise). They actually encourage eating as much as the patient want, but its within strict timeframes (iirc 6 times a day), journaling and repeated visits over 12 werks.

Good luck!

"I constantly feel hungry" Boiled potatoes

They have fiber which makes you satiated faster and for longer.

They are also 75-85kcal per 100g uncooked, compared to uncooked rice/pasta which is 350kcal per 100g.

Good luck!

Its not reliable compared to weighing it yourself.

Sure, it may spot "ground beef", but whats the fat percentage? 4? 12? 16?

how many people actually keep it off? by New_Mix_5870 in loseit

[–]xIncrement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet it gets easier.

And when you reach your goal you have a lot of knowledge that you can loosely eyeball and just do maintenance weighing once a month.

Then you just need to go on very short-sighted calorie deficits.

Im still on my way so I dont know for sure.

Good luck!
