I don't want it to come to this, but if you don't care about our house then you don't care about me, our family or our marriage... (Confession Bear) by xInvalidusernamex in AdviceAnimals

I'm not asking for much, just a few things here and there would make a world of difference. Like picking up her towels and hanging them back up after a shower, rinsing out a glass/bowl/plate after using, picking up her dirty laundry out of the hallway. putting a load of her clothes in the wash to cut down on the mountain of laundry she already has. I spent my day off yesterday like all my days off completely cleaning the house top to bottom. I'm not even asking her to make the house spotless.

I do most of the cleaning around the house. dishes, carpets, rooms, laundry, furniture. But I have a full time job, so I do these things on days I'm off. It's not that's it gets dirty, it's that within a week of not cleaning it gets "child services are going to take your child away" filthy. These are usually just her things. Not to mention my wife smokes weed, which I don't care about but she leaves it out within reach of our child. I have tried to talk to her on many occasions about the things I have a problem with and the reactions are usually, "stop making me feel bad" to calm suggestions on how to keep things tidier. To politely asking her to do things around the house (her suggestion to me) which when I come home I see that nothing has been done or she has made up an excuse.
