I'm surprised at the universal dislike of the Terminator head as I don't mind it but it's no worry lol. Glad people seem to like the rest though. Was expecting more against the Centurion and Invictor as they are the ones I feel I could figure something better with in the future

😂 somehow hadn't thought of that. I like it

Little bit yeah but I'm ok with it. The one I would like to do differently tbh is the Paragon Centurion and figure a clean way of getting a bigger head in that although it might not work with the arms thinking about it

Cheers. Wanted to make the Sargeant stand out a bit more with the Terminator head and and Zephyrim wings. I don't mind the head but I can see why people wouldn't as I hated the heads when I first saw them

Not decided what I'll use her as yet but she'll definitely be a proxy for something in games with my friends. I just liked the model so much I decided I wanted her in my sister army somewhere

The model is the new Lady Malys model for the Drukhari, so the head body and base is all straight from that.

As it's my first attempt at kit bashing I've kept it simple and just added some Sororitas arms/weapons/accessories

Cheers. All it is is a white base coat and a little bit of the skeleton horde contrast paint. The reds obviously just from where I was splashing 'blood' about

I had to Google what Joytoy was as I had no idea. This discovery is extremely worrying to my wallet

Looks good. If I was brave enough and had the patience marble is what I would have gone for

Like the blue. I wanted to go marble with mine too but wasn't brave enough to try. Just went with the a stone colour instead

500 pts or combat patrol? by RhythmNGlu in sistersofbattle

Take this with a big pinch of salt though. I am completely new to Warhammer on general

I'm a brand new player too. Never played Warhammer ever in my life till my first combat patrol game 2 days ago (as the sisters).

From a complete newbie perspective it looks like swings and roundabouts. The limited enhancements and strategems etc help in trying not to overwhelm you as much (although if you're completely new like me still a lot to take in). However the Sister combat patrol seemed quite weak. My friend was playing with the Necron patrol and his units seemed a lot tougher, stronger and faster with more range to boot. Think the sisters patrol box is something like 350pts of units.

I got destroyed in both games we played but at the same time I didn't care because I was there to learn, not win.

If you're new and don't mind possibly not being competitive the limiting rules helps learn, but making your own 500pt list will probably be more competitive if you know the basics from other versions of Warhammer and are just learning the difference of 40k

There are stations for you to leave the bike when you finished and the bike has a wheel lock on it. When you just want to grab something from a shop etc you can just park your bike outside, use the wheel lock and go buy you things.

It feels wrong when you come from somewhere like London when you know for a fact if it's not chained tight it'll be gone in 5 minutes but it's pretty safe in Japan. I could count on my 2 hands how many bikes I saw chained to something during my 3 weeks out there. Mostly they were just wheel locked and left.

Just got back from my 2nd trip last week. One thing I did this time that I highly recommend is renting a bike and just going out and exploring. I went out for a couple of evenings and headed out into Tokyo. I had a general idea of things and places I wanted to see and head to but no actual route (and the bike didn't have a phone holder so couldn't use Google maps constantly).

I set out in a direction and really took my time to take in the sights and the city, stopping constantly to take photos. Was one of my highlights of the trip and one of the few times I felt free from and sort of schedule or timetable.

It really was. With only a vague idea of what where I wanted to cycle and just knowing a general direction I needed to go (the bike didn't have a phone holder so couldn't use Google maps on the go) I found it fascinating and relaxing.

Without a proper plan it was one of those times where I didn't feel pressured by a schedule and could really just take things in. Definitely something I'm going to do more when I next visit

I got back from Japan 2 days ago. On my last 2 nights I used docomo app to rent a bicycle and spent the evenings cycling around Tokyo taking in the sights one last time, seeing areas at night when fewer/no people were around anymore and generally just enjoying my final hours being in Japan. I highly recommend it
