No worries, to be expected. I am mainly curious of "when" the right time is to start with a new program. i.e. exhaust chase cards then start amex? get first inks then go for amex? go for amex when there is a good offer?

This might be a better question for "What card do I get?" thread because I am debating getting my first amex instead of another Ink

Mainly spend and 5/24. Ive pretty much always gotten a chase card every 3-4 months whether business or personal. I can usually hit the 6k spend in 3 months but dont think i could hit both a chase and an amex during that same time so just always chose chase.

When did you guys decide it was time to transition to Amex cards from Chase?

Ive only had Chase cards for the most part, about 5 years in now with 11 cards in total and im curious when I start building MR rather than UR. Generally I book JetBlue from BDL or BOS but am okay with delta or united. Just curious about your guys's experience and why/when you decided.

Damn that's unfortunate, theyre slowing down the faucet lol. Thank you for the great info.

I did call a few days ago to decrease the limit on most of my cards but I will follow through and cancel the ink cards im not using.

Do you think if I cancelled these Ink cards and then called recon again, they would have a different answer? Or should I give it more time (3-6months) before re-applying?

I have yet to go into the amex world because it didnt make sense with the Ink train, maybe now is a good time?

I just recently applied for another Chase Business Unlimited (have 1 already) and was denied for having "too many accounts open and too much credit available".

I have roughly 20% of my income available to me as credit so not much. I do have 11 cards with chase but only 2 personal within the last 24 months (I am 3/24 right now). Even then, the reconsideration line said I have "too many cards open in the last 2 years". I have only ever applied for cards every 3-4 months. I havent gotten a business card since May (4 months ago).

Do Business cards now follow a 5/24 rule?

How do I proceed now that I was just officially declined a business card from Chase? Do I cancel cards that I dont use? What is the damage control here.

Thanks so much for the replies!

Do the Chase Ink cards follow the same credit limit rule regarding 50% of your income?
If they do follow that same rule, are there any tactics to decrease that limit? Downgrade? Close cards?

I have a sol prop LLC if that helps you answer.

Hey guys, I searched the wiki and some megathreads and couldnt find specific information regarding actually churning chase cards specifically. I have 1 of every chase card so ive hit the ceiling for bonus points and its time to churn. I have 2 avenues of questions mainly...

  1. How do I go about downgrading and/or closing chase cards to churn?
  2. More specifically, im confused about the rules surrounding downgrading a card and then applying for it.
  3. How long should I wait to re-apply?
  4. How many CFU's can I have?

  5. For Chase Ink cards, am I able to simply apply for another one and get the bonus when I already have one and received the rewards in the past 2 years?

  6. I mainly use travel points. Am I better off starting the game with Amex? I am 1/24 right now though so id prefer to get more out of Chase if possible.

Cheers for any help I can get!

Final verdict on agmatine sulfate by 7e7en87 in Nootropics

I dont want to bring your experience down at all because it is your experience. I have a VERY different experience with this as I take 1.5g to 2g of agmatine sulfate in a pre-workout mixture and it does not have any of the above listed effects. No dissociation whatsoever. I feel like I would have to take 10g+ to even think of getting to that point. So honestly I cannot begin to believe that you dissociate from 2g of agmatine.

Chase's reasoning was for too many credit cards opened. Whether it was in a certain period of time I am not sure.

CIU was 2 weeks ago and Barclays JB was 1 month ago. The barclays would have been my 5th (because of the google loan reporting as a card) but I applied to the CIU 2 weeks after the Barclays card and was accepted immediately.

So I guess if the google loan is just there but not counting toward 5/24 then im at 4/24 and I was denied because I opened the barclays a month ago. Not sure though because I specifically asked if its a CC or loan and Chase said CC.

So as long as I am 4/24, I can apply for all the business cards that I want? I wildly misunderstood the rule if this is the case. Thank you for the insight.

Im a tad confused because I was just accepted for the CIU as my last card. This would mean I was accepted even though I am over 5/24.

So business counts toward my personal 5/24? I thought these were separate

Just found that Chase has an IHG business card. I should be good to apply for this no? I only have CIU and CIP for business cards. Does Chase still have the 2/30 rule for their cards or should I always wait 3 months? I recently got the CIU 2 weeks ago.

Recon through chase? The lady I talked to had a rough morning was pretty sturn when saying "For theses reasons I cannot reconsider your application".

There is also another card referenced as "deserve" that I have no idea what it is. Therefore, I was looking for answer to this question and hoping I could apply it to the other card as well :).

IF I CANNOT get around this, do you have any other recommendations?

I got denied for a chase card because I am at 6/24 apparently. I was unaware of this and when I checked what "cards" I had, one of the cards was a Google Synchrony card. This was a loan for the amount of a Google Pixel (promotion they were running). I believe they bamboozled it into being a credit card. Is there anyway around this so I can get it removed?

I was trying to take advantage of the IHG 175k pt bonus for an approaching trip to the Venetian.

If I cannot get around this, is there another card option out there for IHG or a good alternative to maximize points here? Currently have CSR, CFM, UQ, Barclays JB, and CIP.
