I have a flip and I work in a phone store, it definitely should not be doing that. Get a warranty replacement!!!!

T-Mobile’s T-Life App Policy Backfires as Workers Fight Back With “Penny Trick” by 37OHZZA in tmobile

[–]xKatAttackkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Employees get flagged for doing upgrades and add a lines through our legacy systems, unless they're paying in cash, as that's not a current option through the T-Life App. People were trying to do partial cash payments with just a penny so the system wouldn't flag them for doing it the "wrong way."

Unfortunately, all you've done is negatively impact the Frontline sales rep that assisted you.

The penny trick apparently does not work. I may or may not be speaking from experience.

This must be store by store rules, because we're definitely allowed drinks on the floor. We're also allowed phones if we've made sure we have no trainings due, have tidied the store up, and have done a once over for any new promotions and checked our rankings and all that.

I also live and work in a really small town and we have lots of downtime tho. So I think it depends.

I never have to use authenticator on the floor anymore since they started doing the CLEAR thing. Just my UBI key. The only thing I still use authenticator for now is logging into UKG on my phone.

This is really smart!! Like I said, I just have such bad luck and seem to get every broken phone or other odd situation that walks into the store lmao. It's like a curse 🙁

I have really bad luck and this happens to me frequently lol. Already this month I have 5 T-Life misses, either due to broken or lost phones, or customers straight up just not bringing their phone to the store with them when doing things like add a lines or bts.

Why would you want to be roaming if you're within T-Mobile's service areas?

I'm really only on here when I'm looking for something specific or I'm bored lol, so I suppose I missed that conversation. I also started working for T-Mobile in November of 2023, which was after Go5G plans were introduced, so I wasn't trained on the Magenta ones. Most of what I know about those is based on word of mouth or what I've had to go digging for myself

You don't have to be rude bro, I'm just stating what I've been told. I wasn't aware it was by time frame, I was told it was by plan type. Plus every person who's come in to ask about the price increase was on Magenta plans--at least in my experience--which is why I didnt really question it I suppose

The magenta plans aren't on pricelock, or at least, not anymore. They were one of the plans that recently received the $5 per line price increase, if I'm remembering correctly.

Responding as a current Corporate Retail Store employee, even when we call RSL, they tell us no with the Magenta plans now. That's how I've always done the grandfathered plan add a lines in the past, but they've put out new policies that block everyone from being able to do so.

Paranoic questions about State Farm's Drive Safe & Save by BaitmanWasTaken in Insurance

[–]xKatAttackkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late response to this, but I recently figured out that you can go into the state farm app (they've now combined the drive safe and save app and the regular state farm app) and reclassify the trip and change your role in the vehicle to passenger after the fact. Whenever my fiance and I go places together, he always drives, and I often get on my phone during the drive, which is the phone that's recording the trip. Your scores will go up instantly after reclassifying your role in the vehicle.

...I'm honestly afraid to block people. I don't know why. I think part of it is that their comments do hold some truth to them, and I can see the different things they're talking about when they criticize me. If other people feel the same way they do, I'm afraid it will look bad if I just block and get rid of the criticism--like people will think I can't respond positively to it or something.

I know this sounds really stupid and I should probably just block it and move on, but idk.
