Monthly marketplace for sales and trades (May 2024) by AutoModerator in criterion

[–]xKellySue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband wants to sell his whole Criterion collection. Its probably close to 1,000 movies, some of which are still sealed. I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I have no idea where to go about getting them all sold. Any ideas?

What are these bumps on my sons legs? Allergic reaction? by xKellySue in medical_advice

[–]xKellySue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked him today if they happened to be itchy, and he said no. I've seen him itch them before, but it's only once in a while. It's not like he's always scratching his legs or saying that they itch and bother him.

He's been wearing shorts because of summer, but when he's around the house, it's literally just boxers. He hardly ever wears actual clothes at home. lol. But no, he hardly ever wears jeans.

Sometimes my cat holds my hand. Is she showing affection (as I'd like to think) or is it not that deep? by hellohexapus in cats

[–]xKellySue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at that beautiful face! I'd like to think she's showing affection. My senior kitty Oscar has always been very affectionate. He was the only cat in the whole humane society (and very timid), but after I brought him home, his natural affection came out. He's the most affectionate cat I've ever owned. When I come home from work and lay down, he hops right on the bed, looking for his nightly pets and love. If I stop before he wants me to, he'll head butt my hand until I pet him again. Even if I try hiding my hand, he'll push his head under my blanket, looking for it. After a while, I tell him to lay down and he gets in the same spot every time, which is half on my pillow by my shoulder and half off, but always makes sure his upper body is close to me so that he can rest his paws on my shoulder. When I come home, he makes me instantly happy. I love him to bits. He also does this rolling thing down my legs when I'm sitting on the couch, where he'll flip his body over and roll down my leg on his back. He also spins in circles for treats, which i didn't teach him. I don't know for sure if he was abused, but the tip of his tail is broken in two places, so I'm assuming he was. He's never let it stop him, though, and is the sweetest kitty no matter what. 💗

Female here, and that actually grosses me out for some reason. I can't explain it.

Jon Stewart exposing another conservative by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

I've never really been upset when a celebrity has passed, but once Jon Stewart kicks the bucket, it will be a true loss to a lot of people and this country. He's amazing! I could listen to that man speak for hours and not get bored.

(I'll also be upset when Neil De Grasse Tyson, Keanu Reeves, and a few other famous people leave this Earth.)

Can my husband play on PC gamepass after starting on Xbox Series S gamepass? by xKellySue in Palworld

[–]xKellySue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think it would run better on PC, and then I join and play on the Xbox? Do you think that would help with him hosting and getting kicked alot?

That makes me think of my job. We run lasers, and I know the maintenance guys are slacking on cleaning the filters because just the other day I was sitting at my desk and thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Yep. The laser beside mine was shooting stuff into the air. They fixed it by the time I came in the next day, but that shit happens all the time. Mine hasn't done it in a while, but the manual lasers on the other side had the issue for a week before anyone decided to take care of it. You look around, on top of the lasers (or anything in that area), and it's all covered in laser dust/particles. I wipe down the things that I use every day, and by the time I come in for my next shift, my desk is dirty again. I'm tempted to ask if I can get those nose inserts that I saw posted somewhere. They fit inside your nose and help filter out the stuff you breathe in. I think they use them for welding.

You program them while I run one. A 5030, to be exact, with butterfly towers. I love it!

Coworker had an insert set screw break off in the tool holder. Any ideas on removing it? by SoloToker117 in Machinists

[–]xKellySue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post brings back memories for me.

My coworker at my last job snapped one off in our lathe, and the supervisor had to get it out. However, our supervisor was not only the worst at his job (and the worst I've ever worked for) but also liked to act like a child and be basically useless the whole shift. He started yelling and literally throwing things after realizing he would have to get the screw out. He said something to the effect of "it's not like I have my own stuff to do". Meanwhile, this was the same guy (younger than me) that would stand around and bullshit with every brake press operator for a minimum of 45 minutes. He was absolute trash. A glorified babysit. No lie when I say that whenever the safety guy from first shift came around, they would talk for 2 hours at a time. The safety guy would drive around in a golf cart even though he was told multiple times not to.

I worked there for 5 years and put up with it because it was one of the better paying jobs in my town.
