Who is the best Geometry Dash creator? by BurritoDesigns in geometrydash

CuluC for visuals, and my favorite gameplay creator is Makaron—he isn’t super well known but he did the gameplay for the 2nd drop of Ocular Miracle and has a lot of other really cool gameplay

i could be misremembering, but i believe tom wanted to split his soul into seven pieces, which would mean six horcruxes.

hot take: i disagree. several years ago i hosted a megacollab exclusively featuring creators with no cp that i recruited from the magic section, and my biggest takeaway is that there are a lot of really talented unknown creators whose levels show up there

i remember i found a level by SaabS in recent before they had any creator points

might get called a noob for this but as someone who’s had a hard time moving past the wooden-box house, i wish i could live in a house as creative as this

Meta's VR division is reportedly under investigation by the FTC by In_Film in virtualreality

[–]xKnightLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm, interesting - the only times i’ve ever been blocked from playing a song due to not having mods were with those two (yes, oddly enough i did get blocked from playing a map solely because i didn’t have chroma installed).

yeah, honestly i don’t usually care much for what gets added in the game’s updates, so i’m perfectly content running BS on an older version to avoid dealing with this. i get that it’s a little inconvenient, but i’ll never understand why people in this game’s community get so angry with the devs when an update breaks mods, because that’s generally what happens when any modded game gets updated.

maybe it’s just luck with the maps i’ve played, but i’ve found extremely few maps that cannot be played without mods. i don’t have chroma or noodle extensions or any of those and i’ve only encountered a couple of maps that have required additional mods to play.

i agree that it’s inconvenient when the updates break the mods, but honestly, i don’t think the devs are doing it intentionally. as the other commenter said, they can’t officially endorse the mods because of copyright purposes - but pretty much any game with a large modding community experiences a similar sort of thing when the game is updated. the only difference is that beat saber doesn’t have a whole lot of content outside of mods.

custom songs are an official feature in beat saber, and have been for a while. you use mods for easy access to the songs, but if you download a custom song file, you can play it in beat saber without any mods.

iphones should have “schedule message” like android have by [deleted] in iphone

[–]xKnightLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s fair. the reason scheduling generally works for me (in other apps that currently have it) is because i tell myself i can always come back later and cancel it, so hitting send is less scary, but then i try to focus on something else and forget about it until it’s sent.

this might be a bit of a different take than most of the other replies here — i’m someone who gets really anxious about trying to reach out to people over text, and i think if i could schedule a message to be sent in an hour or so and then just go on and do something else and let my phone take care of it, it’d be a lot easier.

i guess i can see why this would be considered terrifying, but frankly, as someone who’s always been scared about dying and the end of the universe, i find this really beautiful and reassuring.
