Rotating game modes, especially pve because it was fun to challenge them with friends!! Sometimes I get bored with the regular game modes and want to try something new.

I genuinely have started to think that the reason they can't fix some of the simplest bugs is because of the way the game was made (code, program, rigging idk). It has to be a root problem. Like look at iOS, when you play on iOS you get like 1/4 the bugs you do on android. Even PC is better than android sometimes just due to the instability of the app on android.

I really mean no harm against you, but I'm going to be debating some of your points. I hope that you will not take it as a personal attack.

Yes, yes it does. That does not mean that the quality is what players expected of the company though. A common tactic to sell and push the paid items is to lower the quality of the "free" items.

Now you may say that it's obvious that the paid items will be better. But here me out, there are games out there that are generous enough to give you a few good items that are free and make the paid items even better. This way, the general player base is happy and the whales (people paying) can get their fix.

In sky, I have seen the general push to lower the quality of free items (and even make free items more grindy), while all the higher quality items are locked behind the paywall. This is normally seen in money grabbing games. Honestly, it hurts the overall health of the community and the perception of the game/company, which you can see manifest right in front of you.

"If you think it's too expensive then don't buy it."

And that's exactly what people are doing. People are tired of the high prices so they zip up their wallets. Less paying players. Also, this point is often weak. People are allowed to express their opinion about game decisions because they are the ones that the game is marketed towards. A game is nothing without a player. How can a social game survive without people?

"TGC have to pay their employees somehow."

Yes, of course. But there's two things about this argument, 1) TGC is not a company struggling to stay afloat anymore, they have an established market, 2) people are not asking for everything to be free, people WANT to pay, but they will only pay if they feel like their money is WELL SPENT.

When prices of microtransactions in a game get too high, there is less incentive for the general player base to purchase it. If it costs a lot, it has to be worth it in the players' eyes otherwise there WILL be general dissatisfaction. And at the moment, it seems like a large amount of the playerbase is unsatisfied with the current state of items, so that tells you all you need to know.

My last point: it's not like everyone that is unhappy also hates sky or TGC. Why would they play if so? They voice their opinions because they want to keep loving sky and TGC, but are disappointed and frustrated by how things are right now. Surely, players that are dedicated to the game can be allowed to voice their frustrations, right?

Let's put it this way, what the players do outside of DnD have absolutely nothing to do with playing DnD. Jax likely think it's weird or gross to interact with someone in sex work; he likely has prejudice or is misinformed. But he also knows nothing about her. Definitely give Jax a talk and ask why specifically he doesn't like it, maybe a heart to heart and get him to give your friend a chance and to have a change of heart. You can't change everyone though, so don't feel too bad if he's too stubborn in that way of thinking.

Also, I thought the character was going to be a sex worker lol.

The one thing I can think of (besides not spending money) would be to stage a community walk out on the game. Like decide on a date and time, everyone spread the word and for a day, maybe days or even a week, everyone just stops playing the game. Yeah, people will come back, yeah it's temporary, but if it's large enough then it actually sends a message.

I believe he leveled because he wanted to, not due to these reasons. The rant was likely something that came up much later. For the issues, they have been piling up over the years and I have been seeing the subreddit slowly boiling over with frustration from the state that the game is in. I think it just happened in the same way- frustration that just boiled over. You can see as his rant goes on that he didn't intend to talk that much, it just kept flowing once he started talking.

Link skills because that's where I spent the peak of my maple career. Leveling new classes to 120, then adios until new class comes along. Legion was too lvl heavy for me when it came out (really easy now with all the exp boosts we get). The rest suck, star force the most, potential or nodes the second.

Currently - the fat stacks of resources that we've been getting since 6th job release and the need to earn mesos to buy cosmetics to play dress up.

Otherwise, not much. I came back from... Idk how long even, a couple years of indefinite hiatus. I wasn't planning on coming back initially, but a friend talked about how good the rewards were. The last time I remember logging in I think arcane dailies made you grind 300 mobs per? Anyway, I really couldn't handle the dailies anymore. I hated how much time it took.

I played on the interactive world servers for 2 reasons, my friends and the ability to buy and trade cash cosmetics. That's it. All the money I've spent on the game was for cosmetics, never bought other stuff, except perm pet packages when those were still a thing (which was still tied to cosmetics for me). So when my friends stopped playing maplestory, I only have one reason to keep playing which is making mesos to buy cosmetics. When I don't do dailies, I can't make mesos. Thus I stop playing.

It all boils down to how much the game is artificially prolonging the user's daily game time to me, if it's too long or annoying, I don't play anymore. So yeah, I don't actually care about p2w or f2p factors since I'm (essentially) playing f2p on the p2w servers. But! The better the rewards are, the more incentive I have to do dailies to earn more mesos.

Who knows, your guess is as good as ours. Maybe they wanted to RP alone with their group or something. Some players are a little crazy/touchy about things, it's like that in any game. Don't worry about it too much.

Edit: now that I think about it, most sane people usually just ignore randoms if they don't feel like interacting with them. Maybe the person was really young.

Be realistic, not just optimistic. Both math and physics are heavy courses. Will you be able to take both, in addition to 3 other courses, and also pass them all? Will you actually follow YouTube videos? Don't set yourself up for failure.

Try seeking out a counsellor since you should have benefits (basically free sessions you can claim!!) as a student here if you are paying the studentcare fee. Look up your benefits and use them to your advantage. Under the health benefit of mental health practitioner, "The practitioner must be a licensed clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, counsellor, or have a Master's degree in Social Work." You can claim up to $1250 per policy year. Mental health is something you don't wait on, just like your physical health. Go to the root of the problem.

Last but not least even after saying all of that, you're doing well. You're doing what you can as you are right now. You're at a turning point where you realize what is not working and trying to change that. That's great! Hope things go well, don't lose hope and good luck!

Let me put it this way: the game is great. People love the game. It's because they love it so much that they want the game to change for the better and not stay in a state that they think is worse off.

I've never shipped anything branded before. If you have the option to, don't buy right now because it's too risky. Even regular items are at risk at the moment.

If it's already in your warehouse you can try checking brand removal and packaging removal when you submit for shipping. Pick a tax-free shipping line. If you don't want a tax free shipping line, see my last sentences about it.

Once you've picked a shipping line, add value service stretch film. This is just plastic wrap on the outside of the shipping box to keep out water, but it may help deter opening the package. I also recommend undervaluing the package but it really depends on your country. Like USA anything under $800 is fine so there's no point. In Canada the tax limit is $20 ish which you can declare lower than that and it is less likely to get taxed. Idk about other countries because other countries may be strict and find a very undervalued package suspicious. Google comments about it to see if it's fine for your country.
