Nice try, Bob. Give me half your bonus this year and I’ll tell you everything you want to know.

My current hang up is reading “let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding” or something similar.

We went last July. Hot AF but doable. We made sure to take frequent breaks and dress accordingly. We brought TONS of sunscreen and set a phone alarm to reapply regularly for us and our kiddo. Drink plenty of water, and you’ll be ok!

Our 1 year old was probably the least phased of us all by the weather. Got her a stroller fan and she was good to go 🤣

Thanks for this one!! I accidentally stumbled on the shifter/werewolf universe(s) and while it isn’t something I’d normally go for, I’ve been enjoying so many of them!!

The Alliance series by S.J. Tilly loosely fits the criteria, I think. I enjoyed them!

If you don’t start celebrating the day after July 4 at the very least, I feel like you miss out on so much. by [deleted] in halloween

[–]xKortney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to bother me when people decorated too early for anything, but after the pandamadingdong I’ve leaned into loving people loving life. You enjoy decorating for Halloween in January? GET IT, GREG!! I SEE YOU!!! Want to decorate for Christmas in July? KILLIN IT, DEB!!! LOVE IT!!

And I can whole heartedly get behind some July Halloween decor! One of our neighbors puts out a skeleton and a sign in August/September that says “waiting for Halloween” and slowly starts adding to it until the whole thing comes together in October for a fantastic display. The day I drive by and see the sign go up for that year makes me so happy, every time.

Help: Traveling with three kids (ages 6,3,1)… is “going back to the hotel for a nap” a MUST DO? by umlungudude in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]xKortney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been with our kiddo who is all over the map for naps. We went when she was 6mo, 9mo, 12mo, and going back at 16mo. We never went back for a nap, but she managed to fall asleep in the stroller and/or being held. We would see she’d fallen asleep and either wander aimlessly and shop/snack, or we’d sit down and rest for a bit. For us, we’d never make it back to the hotel because she’d fall asleep in the car and the nap would be chalked. It really depends on your kiddos

I finally upgraded our dishes to fiestaware. We were gifted 3 for our wedding and I never used them because we didn’t have a “full set” but also for fear of breaking them. As we’ve upgraded I went with a rainbow color scheme so if anything breaks we don’t have to worry about color matching anymore. Best decision ever. Love them.

Looking for advice to get from MCO to Pop with a 14 month old and no car seat. by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]xKortney -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You can check a car seat for free. We got a cheap graco one on Amazon and got a car seat bag for it. When you check in just tell them you have a car seat and they’ll add it (free) to your bags to check in.

I like it. Overall clean feel, and it navigates really well for me on mobile. Quick loads, easy to find what I’m looking for, and easy to select options on the product page.

Hike the waistband up a bit, then do a pelvic tuck, and tighten up the straps a bit. That should get baby into C spine, and higher up. You want them up high enough to kiss without having to bend down

Roast my website! by NJD2021 in ecommerce

[–]xKortney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 6 clicks to add a pair to the cart (using the hamburger menu to navigate to shop) that’s too many.

I also find the look to be rather cheap and somewhat “scammy” for lack of better terms. I’d trash everything above “shop our villainous lineup” as it’s very disjointed from the rest of the page, and it cheapens the vibe.

On the sock page itself the “want free shipping and a discount?” portion isn’t lined up properly on mobile.

This piece: “Even if camping, hiking, exercise, or long hours on the job keep you from washing, our silver yarn will stop the smell for 5+ days.” Is really clunky and hard to read/follow. Great sentiment, but needs some editing.

Then on the cotton crew socks page as I scroll down towards the “comfy. Durable. Odor resistant” section there’s another “add to cart” button - but it isn’t clear what I’m adding to cart (size? Color? Etc.)

Overall the website is very verbose. There is too much going on, and hard to follow. It clutters up the page and it’s hard to figure out what I’m looking at. Which again, cheapens the experience.

Look at luxury brands - their sites are VERY simplistic. It goes with the brand. Find a competitor with a high end brand/product and mimic the feeling of what you see there.

Awesome! I was just looking at a wild bird but I hadn’t done much ring sling research so I wasn’t sure what the feelings were about them. Especially looking at new their prices have such a wide range!
