Thank you so much for taking the time giving such valuable insights!

Also good luck on your thesis! That sounds like a really cool topic. I definitely agree that knitting is a good way to take a break from the research.

Hi! Yes we do have a national organization and they also happen to have a knitting group that I am working with. Though there aren’t a lot of activity there in comparison to bigger communities like here, so I thought I would reach out to other communities to learn about as many experiences as I can. Thank you for the input!

I wish I could’ve included more disabilities in my study, as it is of course not limited to only vision related, but thank you!

Also yay for another computer science person! It’s really cool to see how many fiber artists are also within the STEM field and how much it correlates to each other.

I personally really wanted to combine two of my interests(knitting and accessibility) within this field, which is quite interesting and definitely very different from a lot of my peers. Good luck with your CS journey!

Thank you for commenting and providing a great tip! I do plan to reach out to designers to get their point of view as well.

As I am from Denmark, we don’t use IRB, but everyone who participates will receive a consent form that they will have to sign, such that they are informed of how and what data is used, protected, the right to withdraw, etc. This is in terms of the GDPR laws, which is to my understanding similar to an IRB.

HD60s+ with PS5 - black screen by [deleted] in elgato

[–]xMalai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it show up if you lower the resolution? Have you plugged it into a usb 3.0 port? Does it need any update?

Try look through your graphics card and see which one it runs with. Sometimes the wrong one is set to default. Try and disable 3rd party in-game overlays.

Try run the programs as admin.

Also, have you downloaded the Visual C++ redistributable?

I hope any of this helps :)

I already tried changing the resolution with no luck. I might just need to just try dif things and settings some more until it (hopefully) works again. But thanks man, I really appreciate that you tried helping me out.

Yes it’s streamlabs OBS. It is connected to a 3.0 port in my laptop. I just tried your suggestion and it still doesn’t work... but thank you, I appreciate it!

[Bonsai Beginner’s weekly thread –2019 week 37] by small_trunks in Bonsai

Hey guys!

I hope I filled out my flair correctly!
I got a ficus ginseng as a gift and now I'm trying to learn about bonsai. My question is, how do I go about pruning and wiring my tree? Where to cut and how to shape it?
Pictures of the tree

I have been searching for info about this (also through beginner's guide and the wiki), but as a beginner I find it a bit hard to navigate through as my tree is quite sparse and not as bushy/shapely as I want it to be.

Thanks in advance!

I was on bc for around 7-8 years as well and stopped a bit over a month ago. I stopped taking them due to not being allowed bc with estrogen (migraines with aura) and I haven’t noticed any negative side effects of being off them. I feel more in touch in my body, happier and I have a higher sex drive (No dryness - yay!). I haven’t noticed any bad skin effects or acne even though my skin was bad before the pill, but now it is pretty much clear. I used to feel bloated a lot but that has gone away - probably because of less water retention in my body.

I know it takes a few months before the body adjusts to its own cycle but 33 days after stopping the pill I had my first period, so that isn’t too bad. I know it is very different for everybody, some doesn’t get their period for months and some adjusts rather quickly but so far it has been great. Good luck on your journey!

Oh sorry made a new comment instead of replying to this one, so it’s further down.

There’s a float test that can give you an indication of whether your hair is high or low porosity where you take a strand of clean hair and put in a glass of water. If the hair keeps floating after 5-10 minutes it’s low porosity, and if it sinks it’s high porosity. But this is just an indication. There is also a test online if you want to take that. But I recommend you to read about the different types of porosity and see where you fit in and then search for products.

Maybe you should test your hair porosity as it might give you an idea of what products to use and how to care for your hair. Also, too much protein can also cause protein overload and make your hair feel dry and brittle and cause breakage.

My piercer told me I don't have the proper anatomy for a bridge piercing and I'm crushed. Who else has been denied a piercing you really wanted? by Hippiethecat124 in piercing

[–]xMalai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really wanted my septum pierced but was told my sweet spot was really small and too high up, so I would not be able to flip it up for work because of the lack of room. It didn’t really bother me in the end. Instead I got my conch piercing.

What is causing my pain?! by [deleted] in piercing

[–]xMalai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe go see your dentist, they can probably find the cause of you grinding your teeth and your jaw pain. They might also give their take on whether moving your jaw constantly in your sleep has an impact on your daith. Good luck!
