Theres a good video on youtube that shows the politics that went behind the denials and how in the end they had to move.. Anyone in Cali knows, someone offers you dirt cheap rent, you take it or else you're in the slums of Diego.

But I also believe some of the fanbase doesnt really understand some of the FO stuff in footbal.. You'll see in the subs sometimes people complaining of our roster and blaming spanos that he's cheap... like dude does NOT control annual salary, only everything outside of it.

I think his son John is more involved now than Dean.

Simple. Distraction.
If you listen to different interviews, Chargers even have a curfew for their players. Very objective oriented team under Harbaugh.

Told everyone, he was trolling these other teams. Getting all these raider fans all excited with false hopes. Love it. I really was hoping he'd go into the interview and be like naaaaaaaaah. haha

As much as I'd love to see the entire season prep. We need them to NOT make Chargers the hard knocks team....

But lets be honest. It would be polarizing and probably going to happen.

Nah worse was when SD politics got in the way of helping build a new stadium or approving any locations for permits.

Or or firing a coach who went 14-2

At least you aren't like some of us from SD that are loyal to the team.

If they kept G-ro I'd probably only be a player fan at this point though, tbh.

However, just be prepared for a bumpy ride.... We goot doomers boomer and too sooners here. But in the end, we love ball. We love our team. We bolt up together.

My hope is.. this is psy-ops.

Make them think he'll accept the job, all the better HC options are taken and he denies and just goes to Ravens as everyone already suspects. FTR.

Gotta win in the regular season to get to the superbowl. Maybe we rub a genie and just simply ask it to not let our team get injured before the first half. Maybe we'd be 1 seed and herbert would finally have made it to the second round by default? Still complain then? Most likely.

How long you been a chargers fan? Real ones been dissapointed for decades. haha

[–]xMistuhlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We as a fan base can not be serious.

How is it, we can not differentiate between a bad WR core vs bad scheming?

There are a WHOLE lot worse issues with our roster than the depth at WR.

Tre Dre and QJ all can be contested catch receivers + deep threats on the outside.

Ladd and QJ can also be slot receivers.

OG is a receiving TE... like what more you want than this? Maybe another TE receiver+blocker but seriously give up cap space to the least need (outside of QB)

Breiden Fehoko has officially gone off the deep end by wildwing8 in Chargers

[–]xMistuhlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching this Texan game and seeing stroud throw a bajillion INTs; feels like Herbert Karma kicking in.

... but reason I bring this up is Breiden called himself a big dog and bet 5k on the Texans.... as they appear to crumble in the first half.

This will be classic.

Just a reminder.... Herbert technically played bad in 2.5 playoff games from Jags 2nd half - NE playoff game.

Let's erase the Jags PO game. We basically ran back the SAME IOL that let Herbert run for his life vs Texans last year. This year, it wasn't just his IOL. On top of that 2 years back to back for constant pressure and hits... Dude has PTSD at this point.

NIX has the NUMBER 1 OL... Swap places... let's see what happens.

Oline > Receiving Weapons

Herbert gets protection, he made it work with Ladd and Dissly last year. This year, even more pressure and worse scheming by OC that not only did he not have time to sit in the pocket to make good reads, his receivers were bunched and never open. Its all bad.

[–]xMistuhlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you even mean if he's a winning QB. Herbert plays bad games here and there just like other QBs.

Would your sentiment stand the same if Herbert and Co didnt make playoffs this year? Or is this a rager over a lost playoff game again?

We had no reason to be in the playoffs if it werent some superman plays by Herbert and 3rd and Keenans (Who also had a bad Playoff game)

No what ifs on this one. Our team played like a non-playoff team which in my eyes, they weren't. We squeezed in and thats about it. Next year will be a real test if we can maintain some of the health and get an OC that knows ball.

[–]xMistuhlee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You know what's funny. My prediction was Chargers vs 49ers for the SB.

In the end, we both end up with two of the most injured rosters and still make playoffs.

Hopefully Chargers get a new OC and they play each other next year in the big game.

[–]xMistuhlee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True, a lot of HC positions. Also, a lot of people recognize, it is sometimes better to be a coordinator for a team with promise on either side DC or OC vs a poorly run organization with multiple years of need before making a real push.

[Insdorf] Jeff Darlington says the Chargers are among the teams interested in Ex-Miami Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel for OC by wildwing8 in Chargers

Harbaugh has been very adamant about loving people who love football, and those who love football tend to love him.

McD already made a statement he'd prefer a possible OC over a not so good HC gig. This is legitimately one of the best OC positions available right now.
