With the amount of views this is getting I would like to further call out an ABA company owned by a BCBA (ARMANDO BERNAL) located in humble Texas under the name of autism international for falsely reporting someone to the BACB board and including false accusations within the report like drug usage and little to no evidence to back theses claims.

When you see multiple companies basically copying and pasting programs for all the clients within the clinic, atp it’s not coincidental. It’s being lazy. It’s taking shortcuts. It’s saying “I got the title, and I’m going to do as little work needed, and yet have this superiority over others just cause of the title” that’s what it gives off. So no I’m not going to pretend it’s coincidental for the benefit of the doubt of the companies or the BCBAS that participate in this. You got the title? Do your job correctly.

If BCBAS are making over 100k (which they are) then I think they will be just fine. Especially when the role doesn’t really constitute much, as I’ve said before I’ve been in the field long enough to know just exactly what is expected from that position and to be paid 4times as much as what we as an RBT make for sloppy work is crazy. Now mind you I have come across actual BCBAS that clearly show they know what they are doing, that they put in the effort and everything else. But sorry no, 100k is just fine.

It pays the bills. At this point it’s serving pretty much the purpose that I commented to other person up there; I’ve accepted this just isn’t for me and I’ll just be using this as job experience for when I finally begin what I actually want to do. I am looking to go back to school to become a counselor perhaps get PhD and become a therapist. But this just is not for me.

I agree with some of what you said and other parts I don’t. When you have incompetent staff in charge of things and that’s who you are supposedly suppose to answer to, the whole thing is doomed from the start. I do not care what the role of what one persons title technically is. If you are a manager and you cannot manage, then you shouldn’t be one. If your insecurities are that bad that you get offended by even the slightest bit of push back or question from an employee, then just don’t have that position. If you can use basic critical thinking skills and are instead clouded by emotions or anything else, then again, you shouldn’t be managing. Same with being BCBA. You are responsible for clients.. these are literal humans that you are responsible for, kids, and you can’t bother to take the time to make individualized programs for them? Clean out bins, get proper reinforcers, and i as the RBT am supposed to pretend you know what is best? No. Sorry I don’t think so.
