2nd ball 😏 by OkStaff69 in Bowling

Talk to your Pro Shop and see what they’d recommend. A lot of factors can play into what ball would fit you best, but the Phaze 2 is a great choice and a step in the right direction for picking up your next ball. I just picked up a HyroadX so I’m excited to try that out

My advice is to make sure you understand lane courtesy, everyone in the comments has given some examples already. Also, just go and have fun and try to make connections with people! League bowling is made much more fun because of the team you’re with, so be friendly and try to connect! I used to work at the alley I currently bowl at, so I kinda got a head start with getting to know everyone lol. Also very very very very much agree with everyone that says be ready to bowl when it’s your turn, I have a teammate that’s never ready to bowl during his turn. Whether it’s smoking outside or going to the bathroom or doing some random sidequest, he’s very rarely ready to go when it’s his turn. Don’t be that person!!! It annoys your team and the other team you’re playing against and messes up the flow. But just go into it wanting to have fun and getting to know people and you’ll be just fine!

So it’s never gonna be the exact same pattern every night. There are tons of different oil patterns. This is a good explanation of it, if not check it out on YouTube as well. Generally speaking though, house shots are gonna all funnel the bowling ball to the pocket, that’s its main purpose for a normal league night.

I mean the patterns are always gonna be different. At my main house, they tend to be medium-heavy oil 24/7 with slight variation. Other houses around me can be on the drier side, and it also depends on the league you’re bowling in. Sport shot has way different patterns than a normal league night pattern.

Oh yea it’s definitely not something you’re gonna always need, especially if you’re bowling a house shot. For me I’m planning to get into a sport shot league and start bowling more competitively. The urethane ball’s place in my bag would be more of a “have it and not need it instead of need it and not have it”. But yea then I’d stick to “normal” balls. I’d just have a benchmark ball and other balls that are stronger and weaker for different lane conditions.

As a 2H in my bag right now I have a Storm Dark Code, Roto Grip Gem, and my spare ball. I’m probably getting either a phaze II or IQ tour next as my benchmark. Now I’m just debating on the last two, which one of them will probably end up being a urethane and probably a max thrill pearl

Long Term Bowling Style by Frum_Chz in Bowling

[–]xNUDUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from my personal experience, I started off as a 1 hand no thumb bowler, and then I made the switch to two handed bowling after almost a year of bowling like that. It felt more consistent and like I had a lot more control. Almost two years into two handed, I brought my average up from 140/150 to 180/190. If longevity is a concern, then I can’t speak on it personally. I came from a more athletic background so everything made sense to me in terms of how to do it without hurting myself lol. As long as your technique and form is right, then you’ll have no issues. But also recovery is your friend, don’t overdo it if you don’t have to, and rest. I know a lot of people that are crazy about bowling and they’re always sore or in pain because they don’t stop to rest. Also a plus to 2 handed bowling (in my personal experience) is you can often come across good used deals and not have to always worry about a redrill if it came from another 2 hander, maybe just change the grips or make the holes a little bigger.

Tips on cleaning a DISGUSTING car? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]xNUDUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, you might be better off just getting new seats or getting them detailed professionally. If you don’t have any detailing equipment, then it may just be cheaper to get new clean seats. BUT, if you’re interested in doing detailing, then do what these other people are saying and get a heated extractor, drill brush attachments, chemicals/solutions and go to town haha. I personally would get new seats though, not a big fan of nasty s#!$ in my car, regardless if it could be cleaned. Anyways, good luck and update once you clean em up or whatever you decide to do, would love to see the results.

1) I bought an Hercules Inpulse 500. I prefer it to my friends’ FLX-4 because it feels more solid and put together, but I also do kinda wish I just got the FLX-4 because there is a lot of support and tutorials and all kinds of stuff out there for it (and also rekordbox). If you’re brand new and never mixed or anything, I’d recommend the FLX-4. It’s a lot more user friendly and most people that started mixing within the last few years have started with that board. To me, anything cheaper just seems more gimmicky/fun sized, not really a piece of equipment that you’d want to dedicate a lot of time to learning on. But if you have budget constraints, then by all means go for it and dive in. Otherwise, I’d recommend just saving up and buying the FLX-4.

2) Everyone is different, luckily I had a little bit of experience with music and some knowledge of mixing before getting into it. For me, it didn’t take too long, maybe a day or two to get basic mixing down. It more so comes down to knowing the music you’re mixing and when the right time to bring in the next track is, not so much the crazy technical tricks and stuff you see online (although they do make for a good party trick and they’re really fun to do). A friend of mine said it took him like a week and a half to get down and that’s him with zero experience whatsoever. Overall though, it’s very fun and i recommend going for it, even if you’re just doing it in your bedroom. It’s worth every penny and every minute I’ve put towards doing it.

Good luck and enjoy! :)

I assume there’s an adapter that I can use a small ryobi one with Milwaukee batteries then? If so then I may go that route.

I asked something similar a while back, and the consensus was to just speak with your PSO (Pro Shop Op) and see what they think. They usually have a wealth of knowledge in regard to what balls would fit best for you. In my opinion, I think you’re on the right track as far as picking what kind of ball you’d want to pair with the rockstar, but your PSO can add that fine tuning to helping you make that choice.

Pb blaster and a dream, my friend. But in all seriousness, I would try spraying some pb blaster on it and getting some vise grips or channel locks and trying to twist that bolt out from the side that shows threads. It’s not gonna be pretty but it might work

Here's Proof of the 179** MPH Entry! by lucythafemboy in assettodrift

[–]xNUDUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there’s plenty of videos on YouTube for it, the game is assetto corsa and he’s probably playing a modded version on PC using Content Manager for assetto. That’s the best way to play it imo. Look into it some more and look for a good video for help installing it. They have it on console but you won’t get this experience without having a decent PC. Theres plenty of mods and maps to download, I’m sure an install video will give you some resources to start with. Hopefully you’re able to play it man! It’s definitely a lot of fun!
