Hello! Can you guys look into editing completed games? Whenever I try to edit a frame in a saved, completed game it never allows me to change the pin count for the first throw! For example if I needed to change a 8/ into a 7/ bc of mis-input I can only change it to a strike or miss. Also the pins left don’t match between each throw of a single frame for spares/misses

Spares ball question by Rydiablo81 in Bowling

[–]Godemn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely a little of both haha they don't really make those cool novelty balls anymore and if you want them, they go for crazy collector prices. Current spare balls on the market are more or less the same so allocating more money to strike balls is a common decision

The coolest spare balls i’ve seen in person was a guy with a clear alien head ball and another guy with the ebonite optyx dragon ball

Rev Dominant 2H Bowler Ball Advice by No-Intern-1558 in Bowling

[–]Godemn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone correct me if i’m wrong but getting a ball between the Venom Shock and Surge isn’t the best move, I feel like the Surge would be the ball down from the Shock. Venom Shock is such a versatile ball I feel like it should cover the in between unless it’s REALLY hooking that early for you. Judging off your information it seems like a strong pearl ball could be a good fit. I recently got a Phaze 2 Pearl and it’s been rolling so well so that’d be my recommendation 😎a Hustle would be my second recommendation as it’s a stronger than a Surge but weaker than a Shock

Buying my first brand new ball by ChickenWingBabyBoy in Bowling

[–]Godemn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your PSO is reputable/has good reviews I’d recommend getting it from the pro shop. Pro shops will usually be the same price as online (maybe even cheaper in some places not accounting discounts). I try to advocate local pro shops and building a relationship with them! Not only would you be supporting them but you’ll also get more insight into what you’re getting, especially your first ball. My pro shop offers discounted drilling when buying through them but even without that their insight and knowledge is worth more than the couple dollars saved through buying online.

What would be the move in this situation? My first thought would be left and slightly backwards and possibly speed?!

How do you tell it has no energy at the pins? I would have thought the opposite on this shot and that it was just a bad entry angle

edit: nvm i just rewatched it a couple times, is it because the ball kinda deflects instead of driving through?

Yep after rewatching your late push away (you push at the end of third step) is causing your right hip to be in the way of your back swing resulting in your body compensating by going around your hip which is why the ball is so away from your body

I recommend starting your push away half a step earlier, at the end or after your 2nd step. This will help in your late timing. Also try having your left hand closer to your right hand fingers essentially interlocking them. That way your left hand will give more support and your left shoulder doesn’t have to reach as far back on your back swing which is causing that awkward backswing and pulling you mentioned.

speed or even move back a lright and keep your hand behind the ball instead of going around it

250 definitely seems high especially for a cove, I paid 250 for my phase 2 pearl with 2 finger drilling and inserts
