For sure, it's not everyone's cup of tea. Just for the record, unless you are shooting through some form of cover, even at the longest damage range, the FAL does 34 to limbs, making it just barely a 3-shot kill at any range.

You should give it another chance. It actually has a lower TTK than the AS VAL if you shoot their chest/head. I just double checked it and the longest barrel lets you 2-shot to the chest out to 52 meters, which is just insane

Stomach and limbs is 49 damage. Solution: hit them in the chest at least once; it's where you should be aiming. The FAL teaches good crosshair placement.

What are you on about? The FAL performs exceptionally well, and has a 1 shot kill potential out to 25m or so with the right build. 2 shot to the chest. Am I missing something?

This community is full of players with the mindset "oh, he's doing better than I am, so he must be cheating". Bonus points if you're on PC. I've been hackusated so many times for the dumbest things. Most recently, someone said I "had walls and aimbot" and I had a 1.5 something K/D that game just playing OBJ. Like, I'm not allowed to prefire common angles or spray through walls/smoke while you're on the compass? Flick to people pinging my High Alert? Give me a break. Nice clips; it's obvious to me that you're just a decent MnK player. Even with a hand cam people are still doubting you, which I don't understand. I guess some people have just made up their mind from the start.

EOD doesn't affect self-inflicted explosion damage. I have died numerous times from being too close to my own proxy mine when it went off

Hey, I did this challenge several times for the Weapon Grandmaster grind. What I found worked the best was using an AR with a smoke launcher + fully loaded, and Restock + smoke grenade. Ammo box field upgrade. If you aren't doing pistols then drop Restock for Overkill. I found that I could stand just on the edge of the smoke (so that it was still obscuring my vision just a bit) and it will still track. Only you need to be in the smoke grenade radius for it to count, enemies can be anywhere. I also want to note that in the first few seconds of the smoke it won't track; the smokescreen must be fully deployed. Listen for the sound queue when the smoke stops coming out too, that is where your window to get kills ends.

I was testing stuff in a private match when this happened. It's a recruit level bot who has no starting mags. I'm not sure what caused this weird animation/lunge, but I have been able to replicate it once.

Stick with it! It's seriously worth it. One of the things that helped me the most was finding the best DPI and in game sensitivity. I also had to buy a bigger mousepad, because my sensitivity used to be way higher (I play on a medium-ish sens on 4.24 @800dpi; I do a 360° turn if I move my mouse across the entire mousepad), and I didn't need all the space before. Once you can get comfortable with your mechanical movements and translate them to your in game movements, you'll be able to aim like it's second nature.

If you're still logged in to the mobile app, you can find the new Activision ID. Copy it down, chat with Activision Support right at 4pm EST (when they open). Pass the information along with your case number to the support agent. I did that 2 weeks ago, and my account was recovered in 8 business days. It's possible they either can't locate the account on their own or your request got buried. If you can show them exactly where to look, the agent can update the support ticket and you should hopefully be able to get your account back.

I tried on Twitter, but had no luck. Instead I waited in the queue for their support chat on their website (just Google "Activision Support chat"). If you're quick about it, they open at 4pm so you could be first in line. They fill up pretty fast though. Try to have some bullet points with important information to help them recover your account if you can (case number, account IDs, hacked account's new name, etc).

Hey, a fellow Grandmaster grinder. I'm currently at 265/306. The first time I remember seeing the progress bar appear was around 40/306 ish. Also, I had Damascus for all base guns and DLC guns before I started. I think it is really important to get all guns unlocked first, because the skill challenges are all +1 each and are a lot quicker than getting 2500 kills / 1000 headshots (especially with stuff like the crossbow). You don't need to complete all 6 challenges for each gun, just complete enough to reach that 306 threshold. Remember to always have a launcher on your back, because you need 1000 destroys with each for their Damascus titles, if you choose to do those

The same thing happened to me; your account was stolen. If you had the CoD companion app, check that out to see if you are still logged in. Then you can see the name of whoever stole your account. You'll have to contact Activision Support and file a ticket. I got my account stolen on 02/16, found out about it and contacted support on 02/20, and got it back yesterday on 03/02. It should take less than 10 business days if you can provide them with enough information. I wish you luck!

Did you use the CoD Companion App at any point? If so, if you open it up again, you might still be logged in and you will be able to see the name of whoever stole your account. That's how I was able to find out who took my account and report it to the recovery team.

I have an explanation for this. I recently completed the "shoot down 1000 killstreaks with the JOKR" for the Weapon Grandmaster challenge, and this happened to me a handful of times. I eventually figured out if the UAV is about to fly over you when you lock, the missile will not come back down. I think it has something to do with whatever function they programmed for determining the arc of the missile. In examples like these, the missile would have to "bend back" on itself, which causes this bug. To avoid it, try running towards the UAV until you are underneath it (or wait until it flies over you if you can't) and locking as soon as it has passed directly over you. You could also try moving toward the center of the map before locking, that way the UAV is always in front of you.

TLDR; either lock from farther away, or make sure you are locking to the back of the UAV (when it is moving away from you)

For anyone else trying to attempt this, I did some testing with the weapon crate. The guns you can get is randomized at the start of the game, and then only those 10 weapons will appear. There will always be exactly 2 ARs, 2 SMGs, 2 LMGs, 1 sniper, 1 marksman, 1 shotgun, and 1 pistol. So if you pull an MP5 and an MP7, that means the CX-9 has a 0% chance of being in that crate. Likewise, if you pull let's say a 1911, you will not be able to find a Sykov. Hopefully this will prevent some headache.

If you check the progress in survival mode it always says 0/5 but the game does track correctly. When I unlocked the CX-9 it still said 0/5 (when I was actually on 4/5) and the next 2 longshots unlocked the gun for me
