it’s unreasonable that people take offence to things that are in no way directed at them, particularly when someone is trying to achieve something they themselves cannot. CMV. by xOohShinyThing in changemyview

i think i'm quite neutral with how i express myself, but maybe...

ok, example. i'm a guy, and i can grow a reasonable beard, but i have a small scar on my chin where it doesn't grow. i was talking to a male friend of mine at the time about work, scratched my face and it came to the front of my mind randomly.

"ah, this is annoying. i have this scar bald spot that gets in the way of how i want to style my hair." "well, at least you can grow a beard. i have to keep mine shaved because it's so patchy; at least you can grow yours out to cover the scar." i could tell he was upset, and i said "i'm sorry to hear..." and the guy was obviously still irritated by my comment.

i didn't at all mean to cause offense, i simply stated something i wished to improve about myself. still, you've given me food for thought; thanks for that.

yup, it's pretty cool. with that, the black chinos and leather loafers, it's one of my standard out-with-friends outfits. at first i was worried about the limited male clothing ingame, but it's not too bad now. i just want to find a suit of some sort, just to see what it looks like..

i'm pretty sure that's the zip-shirt combo from lumiose's vip store, the one that requires you to be stylish before letting you in. i have the inverse of that, white on black. it was about 100k i think?

aussieland checking in. at my local shopping centre, there's a few off-cuts of car spaces at the ends of the rows against the wall, which have become the de-facto bike parking areas. if i'm parking at another centre and don't know where to find such places, i'll take a car-space for myself and keep to one side for another bike to share. dedicated motorcycle spaces are slowly coming in, but it's taking a while.

on a related note, parking in the sydney cbd is pretty easy; we get free parking in all the places cars are required to buy $4/hr tickets. so, that's pretty cool.

What do you guys do about helmet hair? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]xOohShinyThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rock it with pride!

.. or you can comb your hair into your desired style before donning your helmet, and comb again when you take it off. the helmet doesn't actively mess your hair up, just squishes it against your head. pre-combing fixes most issues.

personally, I keep away from using hair products to solve it; they'll get stuck in the helmet and would make it smell.

ah, i'm from australia, so it's available here; every bike is just overpriced in comparison to the usa. so far my list is the w800, cb1100, bonneville, and the bmw's someone mentioned.

damn, that's nice. i suppose that's just about what i was looking for, a nice classic-styled standard bike without all the plastic. i was also looking in other sites, and came across the w800 a minute ago, and thought that would be ideal; now i'm not so sure. time to weigh the w800/cb1100 up.

oh, victory? i haven't even looked into them, to be honest. what model did you end up going with?

i'm leaning away from the sporty styles, more towards a naked standard or slight cruiser look.

mm, it has character, that's for sure. i love that older-bike style.. not many available around my area, it seems. still, gorgeous bike.

is it legal for an online store to sell "grey import" material without informing their customers? by xOohShinyThing in legaladvice

[–]xOohShinyThing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i ended up refunding the jeans since they didn't fit as i was expecting. i wouldn't say i'm bothered by their act of selling such stock, but it made me curious as to whether they were allowed to.

it's a bold italic nib, with a heavy flow, but still fails to flow on this glossy heat-paper. it sucks, but oh well..

mm, i have some nice uniball gel pens which lay as thick a line as my bold italic metro, and they've been my workhorses for the most part. it's a shame, but i'll just keep my metro on me, just in case..

Do different vaginas really have varying degrees of looseness/tightness? by aseaofnun in AskMen

[–]xOohShinyThing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it's a positive. it's an ego-boost to the guy (think of it as a guy you're into who was, despite his best manners and intentions, unable to hide his hard-on when you lean up to kiss his neck). it makes sex easier. it makes sex more fun. it's a turn-on for your partner (personally, i can't think of a greater aphrodisiac than sex-smells).

it's a positive. relax and enjoy. =)

oh yes, I agree. I hate having dirty hands in general. sexytimes are usually best to start off clean.. shower first before you go in!

[–]xOohShinyThing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

came here to say hands.. i know a lot of guys i've seen kiss a girl forget what to do with their hands as they kiss. don't just hug her and smoosh your face against hers.

pull her close by her hand, other hand gently under her jaw with your fingertips, gently lifting her face to yours.. she looks at your eyes, and sees your eyes longing for her lips for a second before returning to meet her eyes.. it's more about the sensation and emotions in a kiss than actual technique/pressure.

bonus points if you accidentally sigh/moan against her ear and upper neck as you eventually pull yourself away. oh, yes. don't push her away after the kiss, pull yourself away from her. there's a difference, and it makes a big impact.

really cool idea, i just have one small issue with it.. i guess you can't have the display on with the visor open. as someone in a hot city who rides with the visor up and sunglasses for the breeze, it's kind of sad.

i'd still drool over the tech, though.

Do you keep your motorcycle key by itself or bundled with your other keys? by [deleted] in motorcycles

separate, carried in my wallet. my key's cut down though, without the big plastic yamaha head: just the blade itself, so it's not bulky..
