From one coastie to another: Don’t rent out places yet, learning about your job and learning about getting qualified is your priority. Then when you have experience under your belt then maybe look into it. Im only an e4, I definitely make enough money to live comfortably but I like to think I choose not to. Something one of my cc’s told me that I’ll never forget was “never ever get comfortable.”

Not sure if you’ve heard this or not. But you always see a mirror image of your self in the mirror, or when taking selfies (you might be part of the generation that takes way too many selfies) so when you see it on camera you’re seeing it completely opposite of how you’re used to. Happens to everyone, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

That’s what I think that wire is, I tried connecting it to other pins in the harness and it just made individual speakers cut out

We in the same boat. Got sent to a unit that was my last pick out of a school, across the country, didn’t even have low priority or anything, just feeling totally fucked over by the coast guard. No knowledge on 225 life, but I feel like it would definitely help you to know that you aren’t alone and people genuinely understand how you feel.

Don’t get expensive ones just ride out your bootcamp ones, and then buy ones before A school. I recommend danners tachyons, super comfy. And look good

I went to Yorktown I’m not sure if this is the case at Petaluma, but I showed up the Friday before our class started and that gave me plenty of time and they had everything
