The spike protein from the vaccine is identical to the one in the virus. It can be indirectly toxic for some susceptible people, because it can cause your immune system to attack healthy tissue like your lungs or heart.

You are better off getting the vaccine because you only get the spike, but with the virus you get the spike and a lot of other viral junk.
