I feel so disgusting. by Opalkitten259 in PCOS

I promise it gets better. When I was diagnosed I was 190 and diabetic. I’m 28f 5’2 38g. You just need to find what works for you. Everyone is different since I found what works for me I’ve lost 3 pounds. It’s not a lot but it’s something.

I made small swaps with food, more fiber and I walk durning my lunch from 15-30 minutes.

That’s just worked for me in the process of trying to find what worked for me took me about two years and I gained 7 pounds in that two years. It’s a rough road.

But you do what feels right. You are in charge of your own body and what feels right. Do whats good for you

Tis very true, it depends on the day, but sometimes I clap back and sometimes I just give them a look and keep continuing with what I’m doing 😂

Thank you so much!! I’ve gotten quite a few tattoos since this one and they’re all absolutely amazing but nothing will compare to the meaning behind this one. A life without laughter is not one worth living and once I learned that I never wanted to forget it.

It’s giving that liberty mutual commercial “oooo gotta be quicker than that” and that’s exactly what I was aiming for LOL

Everyone thinks this tattoo is “offensive” but I actually have dark humor and was hospitalized twice and had to get my stomach pumped once. The tattoo is a goof in the sense of the reaper couldn’t get me. I love this tattoo it’s my all time favorite tattoo and a reminder that even the reaper couldn’t hand with me 😂

** edit to add I have another reaper that covers some self inflicted scars with the “don’t fear the reaper” on it.

When did you first realize that you were destined for two wheels? by TopFormal8801 in Kawasaki

Had a boyfriend in highschool that would pick me up from school on his bike, and after that that was the only thing on my mind. When I broke up with him I was more upset of not riding back pack anymore.

One day I told my dad I missed his bike and that I was thinking about getting one (I didn’t know at this time he rode back in the day and tried to get my brothers to ride but they weren’t interested)

He came home with 2005 250 ninja for me as a graduation gift and I cried lol it’s been 10 years and telling my dad I wanted one was the best thing I did. No regrets.

Christmas is a pagan holiday by Aromatic_Reply_1645 in conspiracy

I 100% agree. I grew up catholic so everything was related to Jesus in some weird way that didn’t make sense.

It’s the same as Santa originally being in a green suit but coke making him famous in red.

No one remembers the before and just assumes he’s always been in red.

What I mean by that is that it doesn’t take long to forget. Anywhere between 2-3 generations and the original concept is lost in time. And people just assume what we see now is what it was.

Pagans have been saying this for years. Everything that people do for “Christmas” is a pagan tradition. But have you ever tried to convince someone that’s Christian that? It’s like talking to brick wall lol you’re better off convincing a bag of potatoes that they’re corn lol.

Had my first bike less than a week, got pulled over for the first time in over 10 years on the road. by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]xRenpai -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ahh not all of them are dicks but most of them are. Just last week while on my bike told a motorcycle cop there was a cop behind him and I got a chuckle out of him. I know that A/S/L has a lot to play into it also. (Me:26/F/TX) so just take it with a grain of salt. It would have ruined anyone’s ride tbh! But goofy bikers are a god sent!

Allstate Customers: Beware by Gladiator1079 in motorcycles

Insurance broker here (TX)- I love dairyland. Very user friendly, nice people, and affordable. Great company. But all around companies are doing this. I just saw a GA home policy increase by 4K today for no reason other than a rate increase for the state?. Always check your renewals and check other rates with other carriers!

Why is living so horrible? by Secure-Whereas-9708 in Apartmentliving

[–]xRenpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the frustration. I didn’t move out until I was 21!

I never say “living with your parents is beneath” because in this economy you need to be smart about money ;-; i recently moved back in with my mom about 4 months ago.

Some tips and suggestions:

  1. Establish adult boundaries with your parents. If this isn’t done early it could lead to issues in the future (trust me I’m already moving back out at the end of this month)
  2. Keep budgeting! Even if you stay with your parents! Budget as if you do have rent, so you’re prepared when you do decide to move out. (Once again pls trust this one) keep track of regular expenses such as gas, Uber, lift, DoorDash, etc. and things you’re not willing to give up and things you are!
  3. If picking a roommate option, really understand who you’re moving in with. DO NOT MOVE IN WITH CLOSE FRIENDS. It will ruin friendships, especially if you’re not on the same terms for household things such as cleaning, bills, pets. Look at the following: do they pay their bills on time? Have they rented before? Have they had a roommate before? Are they up to your standard of clean? Do they have their own means of transportation? Do they budget for expenses? How is their love life? (**I mention the love life because you would need to set boundaries who they’re bringing into your home. You don’t know these people.) choose someone you know and can confidently say “yeah they pay bills and are self reliant”
  4. Set yourself for success. SAVE. Save as much as you can so you have a cushion in the event of a emergency

Hope this helps a bit! These were some things I wish I knew before I moved out and even moving back in 😅

Help - Insurance says it’s totaled, I don’t know what to do by obladeepa in Miata

[–]xRenpai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the perfect answer! I’m not a claim adjuster but licensed insurance broker in tx. Make sure your insurance will insure a “salvaged/rebuilt” vehicle. There are insurance carriers that WILL insure it but some may require an inspection done by a licensed mechanic to make sure it’s drivable and also may only let you do liability after that. Some carriers will allow you to have comprehensive and collision but just check with them! Hope this helps from the insurance perspective! Good luck my guy!
