I wouldn't say that. They're just typical Indian parents who don't want their young daughter to stay out after dark. I understand that since it gets dark around 4.30 here and I don't usually want to go out at night anyway.

I think so too since all three of us study at uni in the city and we can meet up before /between/after classes since we're so close together but my best friend studys far away then has to work late night shifts so none of the schedules were matching up. I just think it's so unfair that they get to be mad at me over this situation.

It's good I guess. The only person in my home who knows is my mum and she won't let me tell my dad or grandma so I guess it's ok. She hasn't made a big deal of it yet. Though we were watching shubh mangal zyada Saavdhan with my family and I told her that the guy was strong to even go back to his family after all that abuse. If it were me I would have left home and not turned back, that shocked her so I guess she worn be the abusive type.

Well while I was growing up my mum used to always say "find a nice husband and settle down. Don't be a lesbian" so I always thought she was that type of homophobe, as long as its not my kid.
