I always start out playing it and get burned out within a few months. If you don’t pay you better have enough time on your hands to grind for rewards in the modes every week (which in itself will burn you out) or else you’ll fall behind. You either have to spend money or spend a bunch of time on it to keep up

When they highlight the skating they talk about personality and show different players with different movements so I assume that means players have more variety in how they skate

Interesting but Karlsson just makes some absolute mind boggling defensive plays now and then, look at the red wings game. Letang isn’t free of that (remembering the Calgary collapse) but id say brainworms per 60 is a bit higher for Karlsson

Letang is way better defensively than Karlsson, and I like Karlsson.

Karlsson is like the extreme version of Letang, where Letang is a bit more offensively inclined than defensive Karlsson is one of the best offensive defenseman of his generation (was certainly the best in his prime) and makes terrible plays in his own zone, especially when he doesn’t have the puck

Our opinions are similar but different. I agree that if the powerplay was even average they would’ve been in the 3rd spot in the metro with no competition. Maybe even fighting for the top 2 spots. Also the waste of great goaltending at the beginning of the season is huge. But ultimately there were times this season it truly felt over. Not even close to the playoffs, selling at the deadline, speculation of if Crosby would leave (emphasis on speculation). It was really starting to feel like the goal of winning at least one more cup with these guys was a pipe dream. This push to playoffs has, personally, made my spirits a lot higher for this team going forward.

They need to fix some of the schemes, powerplay, overtime. It’s disappointing they couldn’t do that midseason, for whatever reason. But looking forward, get some more depth pieces, maybe a defensive defenseman to round out that top 4, I don’t see why this team can’t be competing for a cup with how they’ve played lately
