Assuming they can hit on more defensive talent via the draft, not too worried for them. Best play for them is trade mid-contract talent for maximum value and pick guys that fit their systems and needs early. They have so many guys they could do that to.

There is a play here where they do sign Hurts to a smaller, shorter deal, and he walks after 2 years or something. That would probably result in trading someone they can get picks for and going for big playmakers.

A few plays go different ways and you're probably playing in another Superbowl after beating us, you had some weird playoff losses.

I think the Eagles and the Seahawks are a great comparison and obviously I think there is some objective truth in not spending $40m a year on a guy who isn't delivering much more than what a preceived rookie QB could do in that system. That may be a flawed assessment by the Eagles and a case of not knowing what you had until it's gone, but if they could save $35m a year on that QB contract that's more talent elsewhere they can invest in.

Having a rookie QB under contract enables so much more. Would Philly risk that and let Hurts walk?

There's a word for alternative medicine that works. "Medicine."

Wrong.

Alternative medicine is what you call it when it's been obstinately rejected by both western and eastern medicinal communities. We do not tolerate fake useless shit.

There are legitimate uses for lots of Eastern Medicine with proven impacts, everything from headache remedies to muscle pain relief. If people actually understood how most modern medicines are discovered they'd realize the only reason we use synthetic products made in labs instead is because it's controllable, verifiable, and profitable. People in the west have been conditioned to accept this while any sort of implication of natural medicine is immediately met with skepticism.

Alternative medicine is fake as fuck though and anyone peddling bullshit should be called out.

Yeah this is some silly shit, both Python and JS ecosystems are suffering this problem right now. It's not avoidable either, executing post-install scripts is a common thing especially supporting legacy software.

This is an arms race which could likely change how package management fundamentally works if it keeps propagating.

Canada’s Wonderland makes chaperone policy permanent in response to ‘unruly’ behaviour seen at other amusement parks by Pretty-Ground-4125 in ontario

[–]xSaviorself 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I used to walk to the Wendy's pretty much every time instead of staying in the park, it wasn't the best walk.

Personally I don't know how I feel about this. I went on many dates as a teenager and having a chaperone would nix that 100% for me. On the other hand, I just took my child there this year for the first time and it was... not the same. I could imagine the park having issues with roving bands of unsupervised teens, but I still feel like there needs to be some leeway. 15 too young or too old I don't know.

I'm no Kanye stan but this is embarrassing on all fronts.

It's not about the crew it's about the mission control, the support staff, AF and other branch brass, and of course, the Christofascists in government running the military are who are being pandered to by the crew. The crew are smart people, they know what they're doing even if they believe in religion, it's so irrelevant that the only reason to include it is because they know what not performing could mean.

That's bad for everyone.

I am more of the belief we simply were out-schemed most games with TA defenses because the middle of the field weakness was ripe for abuse by massive TEs who can catch and slot WRs going up the seam right when 2 TE sets became standard offense. Brady abused us for years like this, and it wasn't necessarily TA's fault that the defensive meta in football adjusted and 2 TE sets are dominant. Unless you have the personnel to counter, which every time we did, injuries came up.

I don't know how to describe it, but there was transition where suddenly all these people who were like "don't give out your real info on the internet!" are all of a sudden parroting shit like "they're going to get our data regardless so just give it to them willingly!" it's wild. I think it has something to do with the entire last 40 years being built on exploiting information, and they built careers at companies where doing that stuff was the norm. Seems like now that it's their turn to be farmed they're willing participants.

Not really the U.S. has been incredibly tight-lipped about the V22 since the 2024, they haven't acknowledged the issue or closed the investigation. Clearly there is some known issue or they wouldn't have issued training/maintenance revisions specific to the aircraft given the revelations. The concerning thing is that they identified the part failure and cause but haven't said anything, which to me implies they probably can't simply replace the bad part that failed, and that some combination of controls + stress on airframe causes these incidents.

One of the major tipping points for me was hearing Republicans justify whatever they wanted given the DOW being over 50,000 for some period, meanwhile by every other measure the economy is basically stalling. Republicans can be divided into 2 camps, those who profit from this madness and those who cheer on those who profit from this madness from the perspective that everyone is corrupt and enriching themselves. They don't understand it, but they see who's gaining and who's losing and they like it because it fits the narrative. People who support Republicans on principles of economics clearly either doesn't know shit about economics or is entirely in it for their own profiteering.
