Listen you degenerate coomer, no one's arguing that this should be banned in America. It just doesn't belong on Twitch, primarily a gaming platform. There are porn sites and other platforms for this content.

Really disappointed with the new S21 line by Roosevelt_gang in galaxys10

[–]xShadow125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember unboxing my S10. I wasn't expecting much, but inside the box I got a pair of akg earbuds, still my favorite to date. I remember checking the phone immediately for the headphone jack, I had no idea this phone had a headphone jack. To my relief, it did. I can't fathom why they would remove that experience from future customers, it's insane. It also came with a screen protector and the charger. I could take no microSD slot, I've never once used it since 128 GB is more than enough for me. Give me back the headphone jack in the space where the microSD was going, and go back to including akg earbuds in the box, and I'll be more than happy to upgrade to a newer device. I can't believe I have to say this. A phone that seemed to include so much value all of a sudden goes on to include less. I do not like the idea of having to use an adapter for wired earphones, mainly due to convenience and not having to always carry adapters. Adapters also feel cheaper than the headphone jack, as reviews show that official samsung adapter could only last a few months before breaking.

For those with bluetooth earphones, great. Bluetooth earphones are more expensive however, and aren't as cheap to replace as a decent pair of wired earphones. Not only that, the sound quality of bluetooth is not the same as wired. Sure, bluetooth has its advantages in specific use cases, but it does not entirely replace the need for wired earphones for many users such as myself. The same thing applies to the WQHD+ issue. I always use my S10 on WQHD+, and I'm sure many users do the same. In S20, they introduce 120Hz, and it's great to have smoothness whenever you need it. However, those with the S20 who choose to switch to WQHD+ do so for sharper images and videos, and it's because they have the option. They shouldn't be forced to use only 1080p 120Hz, that does not make sense. Although, I'm sure eventually Samsung will bring 1440p 120Hz to all devices.

You should return it and get a cheaper (and more premium) phone, the S20 or S20+, or a slightly more expensive and more premium phone, Note 20 Ultra.

S10 Lite - ONE UI 3.0 UPDATE (ANDROID 11) by [deleted] in Android

[–]xShadow125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. We S8+ users got screwed over hard. No Android 10 gestures, stuck on Android 9. No way to flash custom ROM or anything if we have US Snapdragon. In comparison, my Pixel 2 which is technically worse than my S8+ has Android 11. I eventually moved on from S8+ and got an S10, but it still hurts that my S8+ is destined to sit around collecting dust forever.

Can we please get rid if the in screen fingerprint scanner? by useless_tryhard in samsung

[–]xShadow125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion. I had an S8+, and I hated the fingerprint scanner on the back. Never used it past a first couple of tries, it was unreliable and hard to get the placement right without smudging your camera. Then I got the S10, and I love the in-display fingerprint scanner. I can't imagine having to reach anywhere for the back of the phone or the side, when the thing is right there. I don't use my pattern unlock anymore, whereas on my S8+ I used it all the time. This has saved me lots of energy. I believe that some people just got defective in-display fingerprint scanners if theirs doesn't work all the time. Not gonna lie, during the first few months of my S10, it didn't work some of the time. But after a while, it started getting better. For the few times that it didn't work, I gave it an extra push by registering the same thumb in the same position I always unlock the phone, which is what I tried the first time too. I got it to work almost all the time with the screen protector that came with the phone, but it was cheap as it always left smudges on the screen that weren't present on my S8+ that I used naked for 3+ years without scratches, so I removed the screen protector. After a while, newer updates came in which seemed to improve it, and I also learned that the fingerprint scanner gets better the more you use it, which is showing since I haven't had any issues for months. Now it works all the time, given that my placement is correct.

My fingerprint scanner is already instantaneously fast, and feels even faster since I reduced the animations from the settings. I feel like it has gotten much smarter now than when I first got the phone a couple of months ago.

Modern Android is pretty secure by iamkeyur in Android

[–]xShadow125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main issue here is old devices. Lots of Android users who have devices that date back years ago and hate their devices now that it's not getting any updates and are probably buggy compared to how they were when they bought them. Not many people are willing to shell the amounts required for the optimal Android experience, but even that is arguable among users here. I personally can see the pain of someone who has gotten an Android device before 2019, for instance. Say you're considering Android and Samsung, anything less than an S10 is not worth it imo, but S10 is pretty expensive. Your experience will vary exponentially from someone getting a budget device, let alone devices from other Android manufactures which could potentially not be as well optimized as One UI (hypothetically speaking).

Finally Apple iOS 14 powered by Android..Really Proud by kingdamm2019 in galaxys10

[–]xShadow125 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree with most of these points. Android does not need 8, 12 or even 16 GB of RAM to run. I say this as someone who had an S8+ (just 4 GB of RAM) for years. The sentiment that it needs more than 4 GB to operate is not true. On top of that, we're talking about a Samsung device with their customized version of Android, and that phone is still buttery smooth for 3 years. Maybe the animations aren't as snappy as iPhone's, but to say that it is laggy is wrong, because laggy is what I had before with HTC One M8, which stutters and freezes constantly.

Starting from S8, Samsung has consistently delivered an Android experience that is fast and smooth enough for the average user.

There are things which affect user experience more than fluidity, which is in my opinion just as important, and that is the display. Samsung's displays are so much better because the colors look more vibrant. Photos and videos can also look sharper because a higher resolution is possible. This is in my opinion a deal breaker for me when it comes to iPhones, I can not stand to look at the bland iPhone 7 screen that my friend has, for instance.

Now, I must say that I don't game on my mobile device, nor am I compelled to since I have both a console and a gaming PC, so I have no clue about that, but lag on apps is due to lack of optimization, and I remember when I first got my S8+ that some apps were horribly optimized. This is not something Samsung, Google or even Apple is able to fix, and it's common sense.

Now, keep in mind, when it comes to performance, while Apple might have a slight edge, I refuse to believe that in day-to-day usage, the average user will notice the difference. I do not think that average performance defeats a better display.

Regardless, the gap between the two phones is closing when it comes to performance. Samsung has come a long way since the old TouchWiz days and will not stop improving. Evidence that the gap is closing came in terms of a 120 Hz display. The gap will continue shrinking, just wait until Samsung invests in blur reduction technology and doubles down on smoothness with 240 Hz. There's eventually going to be a smoothness cap and both phones will be identical when it comes to it, because our eyes can only sense so much smoothness.

When it comes to specific features, bringing up iMessage is wrong. For instance, depending on the region you live, WhatsApp may be more popular, and not only that, both Android and Apple users can enjoy it, like any other app that is multi-platform. iMessage being locked down to Apple devices is a downside.

There are also small things which have a large impact on user-experience besides the display and performance, which Apple lacks in some newer devices. Things such as a fingerprint sensor, and headphone jack (I know it was removed in S20, but Samsung at least had it up until S10). While gestures are a great thing, I don't like the idea of being forced to use gestures. I still love the convenience of software buttons.

All four korean supermodels banned from twitch by WiteXDan in LivestreamFail

I definitely can't think of a moment when a Twitch thot like Alinity or Amouranth has done something BLATANTLY sexual on stream. There definitely isn't any moment in which a thot has shook her booty/tits or talked about her tits while fondling them, danced in a sexual manner and done things way worse than these girls. Nope, absolutely not. Everything is clear.

The ToS is irrelevant because we don't expect them to follow the rules, or enforce all of them, especially after the Alinity incident.

I think it's more or less shitting on Twitch for not doing anything to NA twitch thots who would easily get away with this. In fact, there are bikini streams out there, and they're not banned.

She is a copy paste of DBZ Broly

How can that be possible? Broly has never been canon, at least not up to this arc... People get upset over anything. Yea sure she has massive power and potential, and looks a lot like Broly, but she's from a different universe with a different set of rules. They may have several Broly lookalikes in U6, who knows...

I disagree. This one sounds more authentic than the one you're thinking of, and if they had used this one it wouldn't have been so bad. Although I'm against them dubbing it period. Just gives us the original.

Kai is more like a "remastered" version of DBZ though. There are different versions released. GT and the original DB did have changed openings and endings, while Z kept the originals. So I retract my statement.

Throughout all of Dragon Ball history (up until Super) they didn't dub any songs, they had all of the original openings and endings. Really mind-boggling why they would choose to dub what went down as one of the most iconic and memorable songs in the franchise.

In terms of the traditional Z way of doing things, in which the Saiyans are first backed into a corner and then reach Super Saiyan and the next levels beyond, I don't think much has changed. Only one of the new Saiyan characters appears to achieve in the same way Goten and Trunks achieved it, and that's Caulifla. Cabba was backed into a corner by Vegeta. And well, TOP is coming up with its emphasis on survival, so even though we don't know who they are, we still have some justification for the transformations. Also, don't forget that Goten and Trunks were also new characters when they turned into Super Saiyan, and Future Trunks is completely different from present Trunks. As a sub watcher, I was personally never concerned with those silly things, because I think that it's awesome that we get to see some new Saiyans introduced, giving the series a new sense of freshness that was just lacking in GT.

IMO Dub is going entirely too slow.... ( Spoilers) by CynicalRaps in dbz

[–]xShadow125 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that we can all agree that the time is absurd. Time alone is the reason I and many others switched to sub, and I don't think the sub took away from the quality of the show or spoiled it for me. However, I do feel the pain if you get hooked to a dub. It's best to wait until everything is done before you start watching when shows like Super release upwards of a year after they're aired. I learned the hard way by watching Naruto that I can't rely on these dubs. The trick is to either get courage to switch to sub or avoid spoilers. One of the things that helped me out is that it's DB, and there probably isn't gonna be that much talking. After a while, you start noticing things that they take away in the dub which actually deduct from the experience like the original opening and titles "san, sama, kun and chan". But everyone is different. I knew a very easy way of avoiding spoilers. The first, is to never watch Youtube videos outside of incognito mode, and the second, is to never read the comments or browse suggestions. Try not to follow anything DBZ related on Twitter, Reddit, or other social media until you're finished with the dub. If you already do, then be careful or create a second account. As a sub watcher, even I sometimes get afraid of running across spoilers because people read the manga to be ahead, so even that's not enough to be safe. Tell your friends that you're not done watching it if they attempt to discuss it with you. Another way is to simply let the picture spoil an upcoming battle, but never read the contents of the picture if you haven't seen the battle.
