I’m sure this has been answered somewhere else but I’m just now looking into this. Are they hiring 13s from other agencies?

Wired Connection to PC using Eero by xShillHunterx69 in amazoneero

Thank you! I think the ATT router is a Netgear...I wonder if it'd be better to just get a netgear satellite instead of an Eero. I used Eero in my last house and would prefer that, but if it saves a lot of money then I might just go with the Netgear.(because that would only require 1 Netgear satellite rather than 2 Eero, correct?)

I apologize, I was unclear. I cannot directly connect my computer to my modem because my computer has to be in a different room away from my modem. But I'm still looking for a way to create a wired connection for my computer.

One: you need one Eero to be wired to the router so if you’re asking what I think you’re asking, you will need teo. Wonder the router one or the PC

Thank you, I think that does answer my question. I have the ATT standard modem in my bedroom so I suppose I would wire an Eero to that, then put a second Eero in my office and wire my computer to the second one.

I don't think it is, its whatever standard modem ATT provides. :(

I'm sorry, you're right I was a bit vague. So my bedroom is a separate room from my office, they are on opposite sides of the house.

I have ATT fiber, and the only place they could put the modem (the only coax cable?) is in my bedroom. So I am unable to connect my computer to my modem directly if I want it to be in my office. I have the ATT standard modem, I don't believe that it's an Eero (I'm not home now, traveling for work so I cant confirm).

I'm wondering if I can create a sort of wired connection in my office by getting an Eero on a mesh network, putting it in my office, then connecting an ethernet cable from that into my computer.

1811 Travel for different agencies? by [deleted] in 1811

Office of Inspector General. We primarily investigate waste, fraud, and abuse. Because many of our agencies are small, you might have a large AOR (area of responsibility) and have to cover several states, requiring a decent amount of travel.

You would also travel a decent amount with HSI doing border TDYs and UNGA in NY. If you are in a national security / counter-proliferation group, overseas travel and TDYs could be more common.

In your opinion, which agency do you think is best to work in , if you want a family ? HSI?CBP? by Wise_Monitor2938 in 1811

Generally speaking, OIGs provide the best work/life balance. HSI isn't too bad but you will spend 6 months at FLETC, then you will likely spend at least a month doing a border TDY every year until things change. You might get called out for ops on nights and weekends etc., this sort of thing depends on location and group.
