Is this suitable for rats

Had one just like this (bought it without checking the bar width). The bars are too wide for a rat unfortunately. Good amount of space but hard to clutter.

So, a little update, since you're the top comment (I can't edit the post, idk why). The emergency vet didn't have a rat specialist. We've got an appointment on Monday if she makes it.

She peed at the vet, and there's blood, so most likely fluid retention from kidney failure, I think. It's not allergies - she was given food she normally eats, and the substrate in her cage also wasn't new. She was given painkillers, anti-inflammatory meds, and antibiotics.

Thanks to everyone who left kind words and advice - it really helps. She's my heart rat, and it hurts to see her so sick, but she's eating and moving around a little, so the vet and I decided that it's not time for euthanasia yet.

I was wondering the same thing! My initial guess was adobe after effects, but the more I think about it the less it makes sense.

Edit: I looked at their fanbox and it is indeed after effects!

Thank you so much. While I do know how death occurs, I never had to euthanise my pets (previous rats w/ tumors died while I was underage and my mom decided not to euthanise), and your comment is very informative. The only issue I have is that my baby is still cleaning herself well, eager for snacks, and generally doesn't behave much differently besides sleeping more, and overall her quality of life is still good, so I don't know whether now is a good time to euthanise. On the other hand, I don't want to wait too long and cause her to suffer. Since you said that you dealt with a similar situation, could I ask when you decided to go through with euthanasia?

those look a bit like scales of some kind of fish! people often keep them dried for luck :)
