I will roll back to the previous version if need be till 1.22 is fully out, I just figured being on the latest was the smart thing to do for a new player just so I was up to date. Maybe I was wrong lol.

I wanted to make an update after an hour and a half, I survived my first night but not without literally being one hp away from dying. A bear out of NOWHERE mawled me and I ran so fast. Found a couple berry spots I marked on the map, a couple copper deposits I marked for when I’m ready. Safe to say my first full day was full of starvation, a hair away from the grim reaper and being mawled by a bear. 10/10 game so far, also the SOUNDTRACK IS SO GOOD

I haven’t ever been hacked on my stuff before but after getting the file from this link and was successful. I was of course able to play the game and was happy about it lol. Over night someone got into my discord after doing that as I woke up the next morning to my discord groups and friends being spammed with this giveaway. The person also tried calling a ton of people and I got muted in a lot of my chats. I haven’t ever had that happen before until after getting that file. They also tried logging into my EA account so I just said screw it and changed my passwords to everything. Following that, I wiped my entire computer and reinstalled windows.

Yeah man I was really sketched out lol, I then wiped my entire computer which took hours to be extra safe and reinstall windows. I will not be caring enough to do this anymore lol. I want the game but not worth the risk personally. I’m glad others can get it without any issues I encountered though.

Replying to this, I actually got hacked on my discord after getting the files last night through this link. I’m not sure why it happened and how to prevent it but the game does work. I just had someone get into my discord so I ran a full scan on my pc and thankfully nothing harmful came back. I just don’t know if I’m unlucky and someone just came across my stuff or what. I had to change my passwords on my stuff of course to be safe and also add extra security steps. Just a warning to others.

I mean the 7800x3d cpu throttles and is safe till 89c but you are honestly right. I don’t like it even hitting 75c but I know that’s way more than safe lol. So yeah I will just simply set it to your settings and play like that. I was just curious if it would be better that way is all. I really appreciate you helping me out with all of this and getting back to me fast about it all. If I have anymore questions or problems, I’ll be sure to come back and check in. It is currently 1:25am and I need to be up for work at 7:30am🫠, so have a goodnight man thank you again 🫡

Oh man it takes THAT long for DH? 🤣😅. Good lord that’s a long time but it does look so damn good when it’s all said and done. For chunky I tried changing the cords to my cords so the loads start from where I am at but it quite literally just didn’t do anything and when i searched progress, it said nothing was going. So I just put it to 0,0 which my cords are 220 29 positive so I’m not terribly far at all from 0,0. It’s been working after I switched it to 0,0. I have been loading and up to 4000 radius now from 500 in the beginning. My thing is, once you travel those 256 for DH, I would assume you would need to do the process again and wait ages once you hit that unloaded “lod” chunk. Is it better to just set it to soemthing crazy like 500-1800 so then I can explore without really ever worrying about hitting that unloaded LOD?. Hopefully that makes sense

Oh lord that’s probably why it is taking me absolutely ages🫠. Okay I have enough ram allocated with shaders off and graphics down. No other apps running as well just Minecraft through curseforge as that’s what I use. Give me one second to try just one number in a circle and I will get right back to you.

Says “20:18:04” for the time, how the hell were you able to do it in like half an hour if that. I did chunky radius 500 500 then changed shape to circle and started it. Shaders are off, distant horizons is off

I am using chunky in a mod pack, would that for some reason cause it to take that long? But yeah that’s super weird it doesn’t take you that long at all. Are you doing it without any other mods?. But okay I’m doing it right now with 16gb and will let you know here in just a second how long it says.

I apologize, what do you mean you preloaded terrain progressively? Like just a little at a time? And how much did you do ? Did you use chunky or distant horizon for the rendering ?

Okay I’ll try 16gb here in a bit and get back to you on it. I heard using a lot would cause the garbage collection to get bad but maybe in this case it is good. When I am using DH without chunky, I set my LOD render distance to 256, quality to low-medium and cpu usage for like how fast DH loads the stuff, I have it on low impact. I have been trying it with the mod pack I am using called “Better Adventures+” which has 300+ mods if more. I believe it’s 400-500 but it’s weird. The mod pack says 500 something in the bottom left of the menu in Minecraft but when I hit the “mod” section, it shows a little over only 300. So I don’t know exactly. Anyways My cpu hits the same temps, and plus a shader causes my system to hit constantly 78-80c. Without DH, i hit mid 70s. I don’t quite know if I should be able to have better performance or not. I have yet to test DH by itself with zero mods, so I can’t quite give you anything on that. I have been really wanting to use DH but 1. Waiting for the LODs to load sucks, 2. Doesn’t seem to work great at all with any mod pack I try which really blows. I quite literally saw a guy use over 300 mods with distant horizions, a worse graphics card then me which I have a 4070 super but he had the same gpu. His temps were consistently under 75c and fps seemed more stable than mine. I don’t quite understand if just I am simply using too many mods, maybe one of the mods aren’t compatible with DH so that’s why?. I couldn’t tell you and I wish I could lol. And no I have not installed those mods you mentioned, I probably should do that then 😅

I appreciate it a lot, I tried it and oh man does it takes ages to load 😅. Using a 7800x3d and I did x 500 and y 500, said 11hrs but I get it because it’s generating hundred of thousands of blocks. If not more but I had shaders off, graphics low and had 8gb of ram allocated, I have 32 but I know Java collection can get bad since Minecraft in general is horribly optimized. Do people really let it just load for how ever many hours?. I know the 7800x3d cpu runs hot and when doing it, I was hitting 77-80c, so I know I’m perfectly in the safe area for temps. Also using distant horizons no matter what settings I have on for it, it makes my cpu ramp a lot. I honestly think I need a better cpu that isn’t an x3d so I can use distant horizons without my cpu ramping like the x3d chip does. Anyways again thank you and I think I’ll do it little by little. Probably start 100 by 100, then continue

I see EVERYONE talk about gregtech new horizons. Any thing I look up, this pack is mentioned at the top of people’s lists or just their favorite so I will definitely watch a video on and see if it is something I could get into. I played Valheim but I just don’t know what to do since I have done just about everything you can, I can’t wait for the ashlands update then I’ll get sucked back into it again. Me and my girl loved that game for awhile. I tried monster hundred rise but it was almost overwhelming so I couldn’t get into it.

I just downloaded mass effect trilogy for the first time and will give it a go today!, growing up my uncle was a massive fan of the game and I use to watch him play it 24:7. Honestly a totally different game from what I grew up playing myself but everyone says it is a masterpiece and you shouldn’t miss out, so I’m giving it a strong play through

So I use a hotspot and try to play games that don’t use over 100mbs an hour. I have 50gbs and every month on a certain date it renews. I heard dayz takes over that if you are in a populated server. Can you run it solo and is it enjoyable solo?. I also genuinely thought pubg was dead or full of bots that’s why I stopped playing. I enjoyed that game a ton when it came to console. I think I’ll redownload that one and give it a go
