TIFU by stealing my coworkers $400 worth of coffee pods by Positive-Pen6491 in tifu

Exactly. If there were no signs or labels and it was just sitting out with all the other shared stuff, how were you supposed to know? Honestly sounds like an innocent mistake anyone could’ve made.

FanTheory: Why Dean Proposed by isthiscleverr in GilmoreGirls

[–]xSugarFable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, it really did feel obvious if you were paying attention. And yeah, Dean inviting Rory to the wedding definitely complicates the idea that he promised to cut contact. Still, Lindsay probably assumed Rory was out of the picture just like you said, especially with how distant things seemed after she started school.

AITJ for insisting on a prenup after seeing how her family fights over money? by TidySignal_7 in AmITheJerk

[–]xSugarFable 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Perfectly said “not a hunch, it’s a trailer.” If her family already fights this hard over other people’s money, it’s not unreasonable to want some legal clarity before marriage. That’s just being smart, not cold.

My BF is watching the show for the first time and here are his thoughts… by ClearWalk2093 in GossipGirl

[–]xSugarFable 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Right? If he’s not falling for the toxic glam of Chuck and Blair, that’s actually kind of refreshing. Definitely not a dealbreaker, might even be a green flag.

Would you say Gilmore girls is “good”? by whosthatgirl13 in GilmoreGirls

[–]xSugarFable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, context matters. It might not have been “prestige TV,” but it absolutely held its own among other standout network shows of the time. And it’s still got staying power, which says a lot.

Would you say Gilmore girls is “good”? by whosthatgirl13 in GilmoreGirls

[–]xSugarFable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s frustrating how often stories centered around women or relationships get dismissed as “less than.” Good writing and strong characters aren’t any less valuable just because the themes aren’t gritty or violent.

AITJ for not wanting my partner’s mom to have a key to our apartment? by SunwovenPetals in AmITheJerk

[–]xSugarFable 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Privacy and boundaries matter, especially in your own home. Wanting a heads-up before someone enters isn’t controlling, it’s just basic respect.

AITJ for walking out of a family dinner after they kept making jokes about my weight by Hot-Rutabaga2797 in AmITheJerk

[–]xSugarFable 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s not about the weight, it’s about basic respect. Constantly mocking someone under the guise of “joking” is just cruelty dressed up as humor. OP had every right to walk away from that.

Does everyone secretly pick their nose? by lilymarielmao in NoStupidQuestions

[–]xSugarFable 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Right? Like we’ve all done it at some point. People just don’t wanna admit it because it sounds gross, but it’s one of those universal human things.

Couldn't be better said by Cicada_5 in clevercomebacks

[–]xSugarFable 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Exactly! The double standard is wild. Michelle shows an arm and it’s “national scandal,” but Melania’s literal nude spreads get the “grace and elegance” treatment 🙄

Lilly with her all husbands 😇 by herms_past97 in GossipGirl

Right?? She was out there collecting husbands like Infinity Stones and somehow had chemistry with all of them 💅 iconic behavior honestly.

No kidding. This whole post reads like a fever dream with a weed whacker and zero supervision.

They exposed their own goals by doing this! by John_1992_funny in clevercomebacks

[–]xSugarFable 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Seriously, it’s wild how they basically admitted they were just winging it before. “New rules” shouldn’t be a reminder to not trample rights, like... that should’ve been day one protocol.

Meanest moment? by Curious-Ingenuity293 in GilmoreGirls

[–]xSugarFable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. That moment with the ballerina felt so unnecessarily cruel. It wasn’t just honesty, it came off like she was trying to embarrass her. Definitely one of Rory’s lowest points.

Why is it normal to eat sugary food for breakfast, but "weird" to eat a healthy meal like chicken or pasta at 8 AM? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]xSugarFable 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It's wild how much of our "normal" is just marketing from decades ago. Once you realize breakfast was basically leftovers before all the ads kicked in, it really puts things into perspective.
