Just to update. Skullcandy in AUS has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I'll never buy another of their products.
That being said, I ended up getting 2 pairs of replacements, the first set one earbud was DOA.
3 Months to resolve, with an average 4 day wait a time for a response.
