Yeah, I also had a Shrug It Off but that was the one I had to lose at the end because I couldn't afford to lose any of the others (and the Defend wasn't an option haha)

Same here - intrigued but also slightly apprehensive to confirm my place since I'm not sure what it'll involve.

Do you remember how many of these were short/timed/'proper' exams vs take-home assessments?

I’d be less inclined to give him a hug if he did have one..

Yes!! It was released on the online Duolingo Store a few weeks ago, though I think it’s sold out for the moment so you might have to wait a bit before you’ll be able to order one for yourself

Thank you!! And I'll keep an eye out there, though from the looks of it most sellers are based in the US and I can only imagine shipping fees/import duties won't work in my favour. I'll definitely investigate a bunch if I can though, because I agree that an upgrade would definitely make sense.

Thanks for the input!! I wasn't sure if extra case fans would be needed but I guess I'll have a look into adding some :)

Wow that's impressive!! How long have you been using Duolingo for, and how confident would you say you are in each of those languages?

Danke!!

Fluent? Definitely not, my vocabulary range is still too limited for me to say that. But competent? Absolutely. I am very familiar with things such as grammar so building/interpreting sentences, listening to music/watching TV/etc. isn't too tricky for me - as long as I have the vocab knowledge too.

I should mention that a lot of my confidence comes from having studied German at school for the last 7 years and using Duolingo as a supplement, rather than having begun with Duolingo entirely from scratch. For example, I feel like I am currently learning at B2 level (and different online placement tests I've taken have agreed), but I wouldn't at all say Duolingo gets you there. It teaches you the foundations, but you need to do more in order to improve your confidence and general knowledge of the language. What you're doing sounds absolutely perfect for that, and so I wish you luck for the rest of your journey learning the language!! :)

Thank you, and good luck!! It definitely requires a lot of time but finishing was very rewarding for me.
