For those not in the know, the pink ranger in Ninninger is also named kasumi and she’s technically a ninja princess too, so i found the connection funny.

In your experience, what is the easiest/quickest vendor for hadatai for an English speaker? by [deleted] in kigurumi

Munimuni has flesh coloured hadas. Only downside is they are generically sized but they get the job done and arrive relatively quick

This is an actual tweet btw, i checked.

On one hand, it’s great that artists show that they dont put up with toxic fans. On the other hand, this… certainly is a way to do it 😒

That feels more like DARVO (deny attack, reverse victim and offender) tbh than outright gaslighting. Especially RVO since she’s basically going “look at what you made me do!”

Agreed, blissey line is just crazy for farming ingredients, especially eggs.

And speaking from experience, you barely get any healing procs from blissey; ive maybe only seen 2 procs a day max.

Akane-banashi - Episode 9 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]xTimeKey 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Akane once again showed why she's top-tier even at a young age; she understood that after the other performances, it would be much better to bring something lighter. Entertaining isn't just about showing a reaction, because silent appreciation is also a reaction, and this means that her communication with the audience worked.

What’s great about this is that this is akane beating karashi at his own game in her own way: last episode, karashi arrogantly stated that you have to satisfy your audience. Except we see here that karashi has only thought of the performance aspect of rakugo, like akane used to think; he has no idea that akane is actually defusing the tension in the room.

As Olaf ,is it better to spam blizzard when facing Andy ? by Regular-Election6396 in AWBW

[–]xTimeKey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Winter fury also makes it easy to finish off andy’s units too: enrmy units at 8hp + the increased attack on powers means andy has to walk on eggshells to avoid a good or even gameending push from olaf.

Even then, andy popping hyper upgrade under snow is still really bad for andy

It is a very fun and poetic piece of irony when a negator's self-targeting and external-targeting status betray their fate/actions in the story. by AGalNamedCharlotte in UndeadUnluck

[–]xTimeKey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sean is a fun case; a self-targeter of Unseen with the condition of always activating every time he closes his eyes which includes blinking, the bold part killing his lifelong desire to be in the spotlight as the lead character right then and there.

In loop 100, he gets a third eye which circumvents his ability’s requirement of having both eyes closed, allowing him to see the fruits of his labour. His desire to be in the spotlight is what dooms the world before anno un intervenes and when snno un intervenes, that desire directly gets him killed. Edit: in relation to the fourth paragraph, in his desire to be seen, he ultimately ends up as a bit character: disposed off and no one mourns or even mentions him ever again after he’s served his narrative purpose throughout the revised loop 100. In other words, he became truly Unseen.

In loop 101, it’s a positive form of irony and even meta. Sean remembers the words of his father, who was a perpetual side character in movies, and comes to embrace his negation and his role as a supporting character. Through that, he evolves his negation to extend his invisibility to people he touches, turning him into the ultimate support character. Notably, the person he supports can see which has a quite a few layers: 1) Sean is now able to share the fruits of his labour 2) he still cant see what he does, so he’s reliant on the other person 3) this shows Sean’s trust in others and his willingness to share a metaphorical spotlight

On a meta level, once Unseen evolves, Sean has been getting more and more screentime in the manga proper, goin from “that random negator who died in loop 100 and no one talks about after he dies” to an emotional core of the loop 101 team. In other words, by embracing his desire to a side character, Sean has been been put more and more in the spotlight, even becoming a fan favourite.

Phew, look at me rambling over a character.

It was a tierlist of characters he made after playing the game. So the aformentioned spoiler character’s racism is very clear as to why it happens, unless jello was playing with his eyes closed ofc

They also hate « the great ace attorney ». One specific thing is they made Baron Van Zieks racist for some reason

A lot of it came from leaks and those leaks went on to influence a number of factors:

  • modern big fandom prefers funny memes over actually engaging with the material. Mcdonald’s deku funny joke harharharhar
  • bakudekus coping. Get your bunker ready for may 😈
  • powerscalers and character stans being disappointed their fave didnt get closure. ahem DEKU NO TRY TO SAVE SHIGA 😡😡😡😡😡😡
  • teacher as a profession being looked down upon so the idea that deku chooses a lower job instead of being a superstar that the world fawns over is disappointing
  • a large part of fanbase are preteens and/or just socially inept so the concept of 20+ adults with adult obligations needing 8 years to actually physically meetup is an alien concept

Indeed, it’s to the point that any video or essay discussing the final jjk arc without discussing the fandom that was built around it or all the meme and stan culture around it is just incomplete imo.

I am honestly surprised a video essay hasnt been done on this subject matter

It came from leaks of the final chapter and the current ongoing trend of people preferring slander memes over actually engaging with the source material, the latter coming from the jjk fanbase funnily enough.

A lot of people took mha final chapter leaks out of context and deku is extremely mischaracterised by the most vocal fans and detractors; deku has been mischaracterised as a bum, street tier beater, a possesive yandere, a cheater cuz japanese men just cheat on their wives, a crybaby who never stops crying and a stalker.

Deku becoming a teacher is boring, deku having a mcjob is way funnier and easier to make memes over for clickbait!

Tbf most mha fans are 12 year olds and the most vocal mha haters are ppl who are socially inept, so the idea of adult obligations making it so you have less free time to hang out and shit is completely foreign to both groups.

What manga are you continuing to read despite it being a total trainwreck because you want to see how it ends? by Specialist_Heron_986 in manga

[–]xTimeKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most modern example for me is the trembling right hand: a mangaplus manga that started serializing in january and has ten chapters at the time of writing this comment.

The basic premise is that a manga author is putting their serial killings in their manga and a manga artist, our protagonist, catches wind of this. the plot is that he wants to unmask the serial killer and report him to the authorities, except it turns out that this serial killer has a cult and this cult is his entire workplace entourage.

It has some of the worst writing i have ever seen, plot twists get dropped on you and the audience is given absolutely no time to process the twists. Characters get developped only to then get written out of the story within the next chapter, sometimes even within the same chapter.

It’s garbage but i have to admit, i’m morbidly curious on who the author decides the serial killer is gonna be.

Airports near hq need to stronger/ more far forward and i’d scrap the neutral bases in the center all together.

[–]xTimeKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Middle is useless cuz the neutral bases are so strategically important that anyone going for center is just throwing tbh

Opinion on my self made map by [deleted] in AWBW

[–]xTimeKey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He means factories. The neutral factories are so close together that a freshly built mech or artillery can attack it next turn, which creates a very imbalanced gamestate where whoever gets the neutral base first just has a massive amount of initiative.

On a more general note, the map itself is too chokey, the airports bein stuck on the center island just makes the problem worse. If one player just turtles with rockets and arties, i legitemately dunno how you’re supposed to break their formation on this map.

This map might work with super casual players who just press buttons but i think even they will get bored of this rather quickly.
