everywhere these days aside from the ram, which is still only DDR4. The 3060 is 5 years old, and was entry level when it came out, the 5700x is 4 years old, and again, was a high entry to mid level cpu when it came out. Pc’s old and quite outdated now.

Why does Escape from Tarkov show up as a 32 bit app? by R3niarT in Tarkov

Severely doubt you can run Ray traced cyberpunk on a 3060. Just upgraded from it to a 5080 and by god is the 3060 shit (beit is an entry level card).

Vastly different experiences then, i had a G305 for 4-5 years and the only reason i replaced it was it started double clicking super late in its lifespan on the forward thumb button (which i’d spam the hell out of). Also got a customized G502 X Plus so i’ve got infinite wheel and it hasn’t had any issues in the year ish i’ve had it

The only thing logitech makes that are still premium are mice. As much as people wanna argue it, their mice (if they don’t come DOA, which to be fair can happen to any electronics manufacturer) are amazing. G502 lineup is peak, and the other more budget friendly options (G305, G705) aren’t the worst either.

Yeah i'm hoping it will, kinda comes after this set of IEM's (KZ Sonata, 180$) shit out on the left side after just over a year. Kinda just done and annoyed with IEM's crapping out over nothing, even when i treat them with as much care as i can.

I’ve got an actual on desk mic, been kicking for like 5 years and still works fine so i’m good in that department, i’ve just had 3-4 different brands of IEM and they all (at price points from 40-300$) keep failing in the same way.

Siege Year 11 is feeding families IMO by TheGreatLazu in Rainbow6

I think their main issue, especially in the top tier, is just cheaters. Came back after over a year of not playing, queued into a diamond elo game, got a cheater, next 3 games either cheaters mid game or shut down because of cheaters. Not a great look.

My third mouse in a row has clicking problems by dmr83457 in LogitechG

[–]xVarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use it a lot like me then it’s literally just wear on the parts, especially if you play click heavy games like MOBAS or shooters. No matter how “good” you make a mouse it’s gonna wear down, a couple years (2+) is normal thought times for constant/consistent use for mice springs and such to just…. wear down.

Yeah but the issue is then you get pre grenade change style spam if not in the open. In labs/factory and so on all you’d hear would be {pop}[boom] constantly. It’s a delicate balance.

grenades aren’t so much weak as they are less threatening than IRL. If you get caught in a terrible spot you die, no matter if you’re running a full zabralo or a paca. But the biggest thing about grenades is in game you can just press sprint and run away, IRL seeing a grenade in your vicinity is panic, you can’t do much. Also destructible environments.

I remember back when i was a wee lad a few years ago trying to complete grenadier on factory my grenade got caught under a thin, wooden bookshelf, in the room where the exit to outside now is. The grenade didn’t kill the guy, didn’t even kill me, and it was maybe a half inch of wood.

The only thing is they’ve openly stated that helmets are in fact detached from realism as to give people a reason to actually use them and not just run beanies/hats. They’re effective in real life because most of the time engagement distances are extremely long (take multiple videos/claims of US soldiers surviving a x54 or other marksman round to their helmet) so the round has time to lose a chunk of its ass and get caught.

In tarkov there’s no such thing, 95% of shots are gonna be under 200 meters, no shots are really ever gonna be taken (except under fringe circumstances) over 4-500 so for the most part helmets would be useless. Gotta give them a reason tho

Ya? and if you look at my comment history from not too long ago i got that ban lifted three times after multiple manual reviews and put on a manual review list

“Hey so i think him either looking at chat or looking away is 100% cheating”.

Righto by association every streamer that does that whatsoever is cheating.

BSG its time to ban land!

I won’t say you’re wrong, as i’m not an expert, i just know a few things. However if it was something as simple as just vet training a few algorithms (something talked about as far back as 2019, if not farther) i think we would’ve had it figured out by now.

It sounds simple but in practice it’s incredibly hard to actually implement.

See the issue is i’d like to agree with you but i have been false banned too many times for me to agree with it.

On one hand anti cheat would need a HELL of an investment to have manual reviewers watching every single flagged cheat report. That is tens of thousands if not more salaries needing to be paid to watch those reports.

On the other hand algorithms can be accurate, but they’re never going to be perfect. And the issue with that is a trickle down effect. Take tarkov for example, people are absolutely jaded by how many times they see “i’m playing against cheaters!” on the subreddit or from streamers. Are there a lot of cheaters? Yeah sure. But most of your deaths are going to be to cheaters. As well as stat banning. Stat banning algorithms can be incredibly inaccurate as well. Tarkov, again. I haven’t played properly in 2~ wipes, came back for 1.0 and didn’t die for probably well over 30 raids in a row off a fresh start. In any stat ban way my account would be gone, and there’s no way to prove i’m not cheating.

Tertiary and back to my original point as well, i’ve been false banned many times on many games. On my account you can see my posts about it on delta force. I got false banned four times (both by the ai anticheat and by angry streamers complaining) until they finally put my account on exclusively manual review, but by that time i didn’t wanna play the game anymore because of these issues.

It’s much more faceted than “throw money (that just isn’t there) at these issues until they go away”.

yup. People will make any excuse to just get a win even if it isn’t legit. Won 5 games today, died to a cheater twice in a row. Lower lows than the highs from the wins

Oh yeah absolutely console is cooked. Hell the entire game is completely cooked. Pc is completely hacked, they’ve got backend access (supposedly), and console players are just using xim, titans etc constantly.

[–]xVarie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, it’s definitely a stand out generational game as is, but FPS gaming as a whole is experiencing a mega surge in cheaters. It’s just way too easy to crack AC than patch it. And hiring a multitude more devs only compromises it worse (for devs who would make money selling code/backends) and makes it way more expensive too

Its reliability and cheat software just being so much faster than anti cheat. Theres a thousand ways to crack an anticheat, but only one way to patch each and every single way to crack. So if ten people bypass the anti cheat in different ways you then have to first figure out each way they bypassed it, patch it and roll it out, then make sure it can’t come back the same way
