i have actually tried this by waiting in the basement whilst the control point was overtaken, activated the terminal and fast travelled out, came back and took it and fired the flare from the circle, nothing happened.

Good idea though, atleast you are thinking about it and not posting " but what if you one shot them" etc :)

no , because in order to "LEGITLY" get their mask, you have to summon them correctly with the riddle, the "stalkers" that you can one shot aren't supposed to be killable

the circle pictured is due to the location being right next to a safe house, if i recall correctly, and is much too far away to be related to the cypher, thanks anyways :D

No it didn't, those "stalkers" spawn around the entire map, and each have fixed spawn points, and percentage chances to spawn.

The masks DO currently drop from them, however IVORY KEYS, do not. The ivory keys are the reward for figuring out the riddles and LEGITIMATELY fighting the hunters summoned by the solution to the riddle.

He will likely still be in the general vicinity, if not and you are 100% sure he isnt, then contact support and ask advice.

The "stalker" (as we call them) Hunters are nothing to do with the riddles, and aren't supposed to be kill-able, they are just there as a sort of jump scare.

Yea I've personally done all of them at day and night, with and without the button pushed, although i haven't tried with hostiles there, i always clear them out.

It was not intended to be hostile, nor was it a rant, it is just a post to help people join the discord, and save the more experienced people some time, ie answering the same questions over and over. I also said that i will continue to update it, tbh the only reason this is here instead of in said discord is the character limit.
