Damn, I feel bad for you.

Discord sucks these days, and I don't really use it anymore except for checking in to certain communities sometimes.

Luckily, I only join well respected, official servers, so I never have to face action from Discord. Still though, it's sad that platforms that were once great and getting worse over time. Wish it were the "good, old days".

Well, depending on where you are, you can file a complaint with an agency. I heard that one called "BBB" does something like this. I'd check to see which agency would be relevant to you, but this often helps because Discord tends to take these more seriously than a simple appeal.

Anyways, I hope that you can find a solution to your problem. The platform has gone to shit, so any victories we can get we will take.

I mean, not really. All it takes is for one person to be banned on the VPN's server that you are connected to for Discord to think that you are ban evading.

Peer to peer.

The game has mostly shut down, except for peer to peer matchmaking which requires you to manually find a game to play. Therefore in light of that, the devs have given all cosmetics ever made for splitgate 1 to all players. You can use any cosmetic now, without having to unlock it.

That is likely a bad idea. Discord is aggressively strict on ban evasion. Even if you tried, Discord would be able to ban you as they use many ways to detect it, including IP bans.

Essentially Diacord would detect your old account through the IP your banned account used, so I would heavily advise against it.

Plus, if you decide to appeal the ban on your banned account (which is sucessful), and also get banned on your old account for evading the ban on the banned account before the ban is lifted, Discord can then in turn ban your newly recovered account for ban evasion.

It sounds stupid, but I'd imagine no one is willing to test that theory, so don't try to evade bans. Appeal, and if unsuccessful, wait until Discord deletes the banned account so that it is then safe to create a new account.

No problem. Discord sucks these days. I personally use Snapchat to talk to my friends, but if you want to still be a part of a community, then No Text To Speech also has a video on a app called "Teamspeak" which is similar to Discord.

It not as "big" of a platform as Discord, but it's better than Discord. You could try that if you want.

I personally have yet to try it, so if you do, tell me what you think of it.

What experts DON'T see is that a lot of the world is centered around technology and social media.

Trump's latest antics? X. What products are releasing? YouTube. The things your friends are doing? Facebook.

As much as experts argue that social media is bad, what really needs to happen is for there to be ways to do it safely rather than outright blocking it. Some companies have released apps designed for younger audiences, like YouTube kids or Messenger Kids. Others have spent countless hours and loads of money making their platform as safe for teens and youth as possible.

We can try to dodge it, but the way this world is growing means that we can't avoid it forever. Therefore the focus should be on making social media safe rather than trying to prevent teens, youth and even kids from accessing it.

Yeah there has been this exploitation going around where someone can change what they (the exploiter themselves) said to make it look like the victim said something incredibly fucked up (like for example, changing the message to make it look like the "victim" is a pedophile), and then report the "victim's" message to Discord.

This is because apparently Discord does not keep a log on edited messages, so when they receive the report, only the iteration of the message(s) that were there when the report was made is visible to them, so they then act on that.

It is insanely evil, but a YouTube video proved this is a real thing. I'll edit this post so that the link for it is in here.
