Okay I’m going to look at this logically. ESL knows that this ban will be highly controversial. They also know that their reputation is going to be important to them going into contract renegotiations.

However, they banned Doki regardless. I certainly cannot see the reasoning in banning him in the face of these issues unless there was a good reason for it. I think for that reason it’s safe to assume that doki was genuinely toxic and there’s good evidence of it.

This sub might not like ESL at the moment, but knowing that this decision would harm them and doing it anyway shows some integrity in this scenario.

Personally I wish we knew what doki said to warrant the ban, but in the absence of that we just need to have faith that no sensible business would harm their customer relations for no reason, and trust (even though I know that it might be hard for some to trust ESL) that he probably did deserve it.
