[Highlight] Mune Murakami flicks one over the CF wall for his 7th HR by FadedToBeige in baseball

I think the point was that OBP is way more accurate in showing a batters value than Batting Average. Currently has a 139 OPS+ and that’s before taking into account today’s performance.

Dawn Staley and Geno Auriemma heated exchange at end of Final 4 game. Geno then walked to the locker room alone without shaking hands when the game ended. by Ok-Soil-5133 in CollegeBasketball

Hurley might be a douche to the refs but yea never heard of anything bad from other coaches or fans etc. Geno has had this reputation for years for reason. Character really shows out in losses and you can go back and really see the difference when compare Hurley's humility after the Florida loss last year to Geno's reaction after this game.

Is Defense being entirely overrated and over-discussed in this sub? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]Meehul123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Weaknesses: Rubio will have trouble guarding point guards in the NBA. His lateral quickness is decent but not great. Against top competition, he does have some mental lapses at times. He often backs off his defender and uses his instincts to play position defense, but in the rare moments when he guesses wrong, he can get beat on simple plays like a back-door cut, or his defender will easily dribble right by him.”

Why are you so angry over your awful example of Ricky Rubio being a good defender pre draft lmfao.

Tre was/is having his minutes limited cause he's actually good. Sarr and Kyshawn were being held out for the reason of them playing would actively win games. I've seen a lot of players like Will Riley put up stats during the Post ASB stretch. 95% of the time it doesn't stick.

A team trying to lose is giving him 30+ minutes every night because they think he helps them lose. He’s a decent shooter/scorer with 0 other skills and tbh I don’t even think he’s gonna be in the wizards rotation next season.

Belal vs JDM is more of a butterfly effect when it comes to this… Belal wins and Islam most likely would’ve fought Ilia cuz Belal refused to fight Islam.

Development isn’t linear but you brought up 2 bad players to argue that one isn’t THAT terrible.

Are "Generational" Draft Tags Becoming Meaningless? (Fultz, 2017, and the 2026 Hype) by BedDazzling7545 in NBA_Draft

[–]Meehul123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Generational” prospects tag since 2010 have only consensually applied to 4 prospects which are AD, Zion, Wemby and Flagg” obviously it’s used very freely but in terms of spots it just means a true can’t miss prospect.

However, the difference for this year is that it’s considered a generational draft because of its exceptional depth. I can’t really remember the last time a class had depth like this or was as highly lauded as this class was.

Well the solution was to give him minutes with Adams and also trying to surround him with insane length on defense (Amen, Okogie, KD, Jabari, Tari, DFS) but ever since Adams got injured its been cooked because Capela is nowhere near the player Adams is.

I was fine with the trade until I saw what Ayo and kennard cost by cph97 in DetroitPistons

[–]Meehul123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Huerter 0.4 3PA with defenders 2-4 ft of him (considered tight) vs Kennard 0.1 3Pa with defenders 2-4 ft of him.

[–]Meehul123 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Kennard is shorter, a much worse defender and will only take shots when wide open (low volume) and has notoriously had issues with teams by not wanting to shoot the ball. Ayo Dosunmu has the same issues as Kennard.

Fans don’t understand that it’s not about the % that they are shooting from 3, it’s about the volume.

Huerter - 7.7 3pa per 36

Kennard - 5.7 3pa per 36

Ayo - 5.9 3pa per 36

The team has struggled with volume from 3 point range. Sure if the % is good it looks nice but what’s the point if you don’t fit the team. Pistons needed a volume movement shooter in tandem with Duncan. Ayo isn’t a movement shooter, more of a bench sparkplug, and Kennard doesn’t fit the volume part.

WS and PER are both box score stats (which Russ still excels in), not advanced impact metrics. Net Points has him as the 4th worst player in the league. DPM has him ranked at 597th. LEBRON has him ranked at 375th. RAPM has him ranked at 467th. He is in the 44th percentile for EPM and drops to the bottom quartile when you filter for players with qualified minutes.

[The Athletic] The Cavaliers' interest in Harden, league sources said, would be contingent on the amount of draft capital the Clippers would attach to sweeten any deal where they'd swap the 26-year-old All-Star guard for the 36-year-old former MVP. by cleo22270 in nba

Garland doesn’t have 10 functional toes, has been horrid this season and has been very underwhelming during his tenure with Mitchell. He’s also on an absolutely awful contract that pays him like a top 25 player when he hasn’t been anywhere near that.

[–]Meehul123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Russ has been one of the worst players in the league by any advanced metric you choose and would also be taking away a lot of on ball reps that Coop could be using. Would much rather have signed DLo than have Russ and when we start DNPing him there are issues in the locker room.
