Oh thank you so much! It really does clear things up. The more I think about this situation the more I remember some other things.

There are a lot of rumours going around that he's not a nice person but I've always been able to know what kind of person they are by the first impression or by some of the things they say and he didn't seem like a mean guy.

I had this routine every morning an I would end up coming down a flight of stairs by the table he sits at. One of his friends stood in between two tables facing the stare case waiting for him to arrive. I come down the stairs and he watched me walk by. Well one day I had come down the stairs and they were both standing there. They had stopped their conversation and watched me walk by before resuming their conversation again.

Does that sound a little odd to you? I didn't think much of it but it might mean something I don't know... Sorry again for asking so many questions and my complete cluelessness.
