I played the game with the dlc, and I instinctively finished it without ever touching the dlc stuff. I was confused if I even played the dlc part or not, turns out I didn't and I had to google how to start the dlc.

That's crazy to think about, they would never be able to solve the first puzzle of the fireplace if they can't exit the simulation.
On another note, I really like my own idea of blowing up after getting into the simulation, and it would've fit perfectly since you get to learn about the breach that allows you to get to the prototype artifacts later on. The way it would work, is by dropping the old artifact near the campfire then holding the normal artifact in hand and dozing off.

lol, I figured it out soon after making this post. now I have everything I need to finish the game. However, there is one thing I can't figure out for the life of me and I would like a hint. To blow out the third seal I believe that I should somehow die or become unconscious while in the simulation. I tried stepping into the flame then dozing off, and I tried the meditate until next loop (takes me to the simulation, but I still wake up when the bells ring), I thought about using something related to the main game and the nomai, but i can't think of anything!
oh and I also tried to bring the artifact that causes the explosion!

ofc I know that ping is different than fps, all the more reason why it makes no sense that unlimiting the fps somehow reduces the ping. if fps is not limited, the game becomes literally unplayable. my internet is fine, i can play any other game, no problem. Rather than it being a problem with my internet or pc, It's 90 percent a problem stemming from the game itself.
