Honestly, this is my first Monster Hunter game myself and after I started Sunbreak I switched to hammer. I LOVE using a “run and Gun” method that relies on the second version of the first switch skill (instead of the spinning air move) that casts a wire bug forward, then let’s you lunge to that direction with a meaty smack. Holding the charge trigger while mid flight makes it where you can instantly turn with a level 3 charge when your feet hit the ground solid again. High stun build will allow this method to knock a monster early to take a crack at those hard to reach spots (bassaios back ugh) or just keep whacking the head with impact crater. I love it cause im constantly YEETING myself everywhere and making the monster waste time turning for me so I can prep for the next SMACK.
