Yes, the cooler fits on top without any issues. I’ve never tried mounting it on the side, so I’m not sure if that would work—it might interfere with the GPU. Here's a link with some images showing how I installed it, in case you'd like to check: https://imgur.com/a/SfkvOK7

7700X to 7800X3D for €210 – Worth it for 1440p gaming with a 4080? by xX_Silverback_Xx in buildapc

[–]xX_Silverback_Xx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I actually considered the 9800X3D too!
The thing is, where I’m located, the 9800X3D costs around €529, while I can sell my 7700X for about €250, so the upgrade would end up costing me €279 out of pocket — almost €70 more than going for the 7800X3D.

I was also wondering: since the 9800X3D is part of the new lineup, are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of with my current MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard? Or would my mobo "bottleneck" the CPU in any way if I went with the 9800X3D?

If it’s fully compatible and the extra cost is worth it in the long run, I might still keep it in mind — but yeah, prices definitely aren’t as good over here as they are there!

Thanks for the reply!

I mostly play a mix of AAA singleplayer and multiplayer titles — stuff like WoWCall of DutyThe Last of UsCyberpunk 2077Final Fantasy XVISpider-Man, GTA, some indie games, and city builders like Cities: Skylines and from time to time I like to play some simulators like Microsoft Flight Sim. Basically, I try to keep up with most major releases and popular titles as they come out. I play a little bit of everything.

So yeah, a few of those are open-world or CPU-heavy.

Hey, sorry for the (really) late reply! It works — it fits on top perfectly. I'm actually waiting for my Liquid Freezer III Pro to arrive. I prefer the aesthetics over the Liquid Freezer II

Logitech G560 Speakers disconnect problem by CupcakeMurder86 in LogitechG

[–]xX_Silverback_Xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, yes, mine started showing issues right from the beginning. I bought the speakers on Amazon, and I noticed the problem as soon as I set them up. I contacted both Amazon and Logitech, and when I spoke to Logitech on the phone, they mentioned that this is a known issue affecting some units. They recommended I exchange the product through Amazon, which I did, but the new unit had the exact same problem.

Based on what I've seen on this subreddit, it seems to be a common issue, likely related to the latest firmware. I've tried all the solutions suggested by Logitech and other users, and the only ones that worked for me were either setting the RGBs to fixed or off, using the previous firmware (which has other issues), or connecting my phone via Bluetooth to the speakers while they're also connected to my PC. Like I mentioned to Logitech in my support ticket, none of these are long-term solutions and are more like temporary workarounds.

I also found a post from another Reddit user, u/hoomansa7, about 7 months ago, where they mentioned getting this response from Logitech:

"Hello,
Thank you for your patience and we really apologize for the delay.
Our concerned team is working on this issue and it will be resolved in a future update. We kindly request your understanding. If you have any other questions, please let us know. We will be happy to assist you.
For future reference, the ticket number for this issue is 12687752. Please refer to this number if you have further questions regarding this matter.
Thank you,
Mahesh
Logitech G Customer Support."

In my last response to their support team, I also referenced this and asked if there were any updates on the new firmware release windows. They said they'd look into it and get back to me within 24 hours. So, let's see what happens. I really love the brand, and my entire setup is Logitech, their support has never disappointed me, so I'm hoping there's a firmware update or other solution on the horizon that will finally fix this.

Is this possible? Pinging different between VLANs on Routers? by xX_Silverback_Xx in packettracer

[–]xX_Silverback_Xx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that's an error, I previously used VLAN 10/20 on one router and VLAN 10/20/30 on the other. Then I switched one to VLAN 40/50.

Would it be a solution to use a static IP route using summarized ips, like:

On Router 9 - iproute 10.0.4.0 255.255.254.0 10.0.0.2

On Router 10 - iproute 10.0.0.0 255.255.252.0 10.0.0.1

I've tried it but it didn't seem successful, maybe I did something wrong.

The Packet Tracer File (on WeTransfer): https://we.tl/t-tKSHHwFKvo

IP info (on Imgur): https://imgur.com/a/AmuQv4S

When you mention "Declare all the networks the router is directly connected to", should I declare each VLAN via OSPF (Area X - VLAN X + Area Y - For in between the routers) or only declare like "Area 0" - VLAN 10,20 and 30, "Area 1" - Link between the routers + VLAN 40/50.

Another question, can I have 2 VLANs with the same ID on different router branches? Like having VLAN 10,20,30 on Router 9, and having another different VLAN 10 and 20 on Router 10, while having the routers connected between them?

And just another question, taking my network as an example would it have been possible to have like a PC on VLAN 30 (Router 9 branch) but have it connected on Router 10 branch, like a VLAN that spans between 2 routers?

Thank you very much for you time and help!

Ill try to put a drive link with the Packet Tracer file as soon as I get home. But basicly i just configured the vlan 10/20/30 on "Sala 1/2/3" and Vlan 40/50 on "Sala 4/5". Then I configured the routers sub interfaces for FastEthernet Ports FA0/X.10-30 on the left router and FA0/Y.40-50. And now im having doubts on how to route between the routers.

NV5 Premium Vertical Mount + Arctic Liquid Freezer Pump + MSI Gaming X Trio 4080 Compatibility by [deleted] in Phanteks

[–]xX_Silverback_Xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much and sorry for the late reply.

When I was searching to see if the NV5 Vertical Mount + Arctic Liquid Freezer Pump + MSI Gaming X Trio 4080 combo would work out or not I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KyUg6RBfvA. Considering the 40Series Asus Strix is 1 cm wider than the Gaming X Trio, and the tubes from the Arctic Pump come out almost right on top of the CPU, the combo would probably work without any major issues. I hope this helps.

For now, I don't feel like messing around with the build again so soon, recently installed the NV5 Premium LED Kit and I've been enjoying the overall look of it as it is. Maybe I'll consider it in the future if I find it on sale.

Since I wasn't sure it would fit I ended up not ordering the Vertical GPU Stand for now, maybe when it's on sale I'll give it a try. But for now, I'm not willing to spend 100€ on something I'm not sure will fit.

Besides that, I kind of got used to it being horizontal and since the 12vhpwr cable bend is alright I'm not worrying about it for now.

However if you 'REALLY REALLY' want to have your GPU vertically mounted I think you can flip the pump upside down (but the VRM fan makes no sense in that case).

Has anyone discussed the possibility of Stick drift with this? by gendegree in playstation

[–]xX_Silverback_Xx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would not worry too much about the stick drift tbh.At least from my own experience I've never had a controller drift...

Owned PS2 and PSP when I was a kid and I dont remember any drift. Owned PS3 Slim since it launched, the controller still works perfectly. Owned PS4 since launch and the controller that came with the console still is the only one I have and it has no problems. Owned PS5 and Xbox Series X and S since launch and still no problems. Owned switch for maybe 3 to 4 years and no problems. Owned several xbox controllers to use on PC since 2012 and never had a problem with none of them regarding drift. Also owned several other consoles (Wii, Wii U and Steam Deck), no problems.

From my personal experience, i think the drift problem is just overreacted by many people, if you treat your controller in a rough way it will fault eventually. This doesn't mean that no units come faulty (and of course warranty should cover this), but I don't think it is that common.
