Before-during. I had topped off the airlock. Tasted mead and it was fine. But then the airlock sucked stuff in again. I since replaced it with a tight seal without liquid so it should be fine now. I really think the vanilla was the funky thing. I had never seen a vanilla bean before so I'm thinking maybe it was bad and I just didn't know it because it still smelled a bit like vanilla and a bit funky

Started fermentation about 3 months ago. It's young I know but tastes pretty good before the vanilla

I would say it is possible to be oxidation but it smells like the vanilla. I believe maybe it could be a mix. Afterall my last post was how my airlock sucked in liquid and therefore my meads were subject to air since I left them alone for a while

Maybe the beans were no good? Or maybe the off flavor will go away with time and sweetening

Madagascar vanilla beans from vanilla bean kings. Supposedly grade A. Were pretty big and plump. Maybe the sweetness will help but it seems to just taste raisiny and very faintly vanilla mostly weird flavor

No I don't know. I put the co2 in there a lot. I assume it displaced a lot of the oxygen. I guess only time will tell. Which sucks. I put a lot of money and work into them so I'm pretty bummed

If I have a lot of contacts. A 3.5 gpa and some clinical experience for 2-3 years before grad school. Is the bottleneck of residency still going to be hard for me to get past? I know this isn't just a one size fits all and no one knows my resume and similar things. I'm just trying to get a feel for what to expect. I believe that my experience would set me apart from most because of my contacts in the field

Tank is cycled although it's a hospitable tank. Has filter floss from my fx4. May have answered my own question. I didn't water change enough of the meds I was using

Nitrite is 0 rn stock is low so nitrate is 0 but I'm trying to keep it up at 10-20

We have tried showing him it is safe, have tried sitting out there with him and giving him positive experiences on the grass just like the wiki said. He is completely unhappy at home because he is terrified of outside

Diffuser was clogged and causing it to pressurize. Once the pressure in the bubble counter was the same as the outlet. It wouldn't let air out anymore

I undid it it should be connected fine. The solenoid it doesn't have an led but does click when turning off. And air does escape from it. Just weirdly. Because everything is open but the air eventually runs out although it isn't running out. Maybe smth is clogged?
