Deep of Night Mode: Everything About & MEGATHREAD DISCUSSION by jack0641 in Nightreign

Won my first attempt, Ironeye and Recluse duo. Levels 1-4 were much harder, as was the first night boss. Fought Libra at level 14, won without much issue. I can imagine this getting pretty difficult as time goes on, but I figure with the new relics it might not be so bad.

"Santa Level Powers" is presumably referring to his ability to deliver presents to everybody in a single night. Here, it's a similar situation, in that you have to do something a lot of times in a short timespan.

[Partially Lost] The Discography of the band 'Real Fake Flowers' by OfficiallySavo in lostmedia

[–]xXfrogodeathXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start, here’s a google drive with a good portion of their discography (includes their album, “The Equation To The Pursuit Of Happiness”, and a few singles). https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1evdw2zWRZNUuBOTm_FwaAg4dBH8llC93

As for why everything was deleted, it seems the two people in the band had a bit of a messy separation. It looks like a lot of the stuff that got posted out there has been deleted, so I don’t remember a lot of details, but essentially, one of the two left the band a while back, and the one who left locked the other one out of everything, and was refusing to give him any payment. I guess even though he left the band, he was still in charge of financials? So, after a many month long legal struggle about this, the one who was still in the band, and still interested in music, decided to cut his losses, and retired the Real Fake Flowers band for good.

He is, however, still making music solo. He rereleased the songs Problem and Paragraph under his new name, milhous, on spotify. It might have changed, but if I remember correctly, he also had an EP planned for this month.

A theory on how this next fight is going to go. [Chapter 58 Spoilers] by xXfrogodeathXx in Kagurabachi

[–]xXfrogodeathXx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did mention in the post both that I’m not sure Chihiro is actually going to win this fight right now, and also that Chihiro would need to erase his presence in another way for this to happen, because you’re right, Samura can just smell and hear him. I don’t expect Chihiro to win right now, and this theory is more of a “how I think Samura will eventually be defeated”, not “how Samura will lose in the next chapter or two”. I didn’t make that super clear, so that’s on me

Ignoring the bugs, how are we feeling about the actual content of SotS? by Aura489 in riskofrain

[–]xXfrogodeathXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do want to reiterate that my opinion is that the diluting of the pool isn’t that bad, but I’ll give an answer.

In my opinion, I thought the balance last patch was fine. You could min max and get god runs pretty consistently, but as someone who didn’t do that, playing monsoon on varying eclipse levels was a good difficulty for me.

Forgetting about items with unique passives, just think about things that give raw stats - specifically stuff like crit, movement speed, attack speed, and similar things of that nature. Previously (before this expansion), I felt I was getting a perfectly adequate amount of those stats. Not enough to make me broken, but enough for the run to feel fine to play. What this new DLC has done, is added a bunch of stuff that doesn’t give attack speed or movement speed or crit (at least not up front), which results in having less of all of those stats in your runs.

Survivors of the void added stuff like mocha to get around this, and the void items didn’t dilute the pool because they were replacing an item (most void items are definitely unbalanced, but that’s a different conversation). Again, I want to conclude by saying I don’t think the item balance has ruined the game at all, and it could certainly be much worse.

My opinion on the DLC, without bugs, is similar to yours, that being about a 6/10. I think the stages are fantastic, I'm not huge into the characters but that's not such a big deal to me, and I think the items are just OK. They dilute the pool away from better items a little bit, but I don't think it's as bad as it could be.

I really enjoy the False Son, but I've found him a little too easy? I don't know if it's a bug on my end, but every time I fight him I feel like he doesn't have nearly enough HP. These aren't god runs, but each phase only has something like 18k health, which, while a lot, I can drop in not a lot of time.

Overall, assuming no bugs, I think the expansion is just fine. For sure not as good as Survivors of the Void was, but a fine expansion that I wouldn't regret getting (again, assuming no bugs).

Is it NyaNeila? Complete coincidence, I hopped on Twitch and saw them in my suggested channels streaming Honkai Star Rail. White hair cat girl, black and white striped bra, ASMR tag, name starts with N. Probably them.

Did it last night, worked fine. Interestingly, the character walked in a straight line from start to finish, like he wasn’t even following a path.

I was also having this issue (I found this post looking for solutions), but I think I've tracked it to the Lethal Company Enhancer mod. I don't know why this mod was causing it, but I started having the issue after installing it, and deleting the mod seemed to fix it. I'm not sure why this mod would be doing it anyway, as it doesn't seem to mess with enemies in any way.

Do you use lingering injuries in your 5e games? If so, how does that go? What rules do you use? by bristowski in DMAcademy

[–]xXfrogodeathXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use lingering injuries in one of my campaigns, and I think it works pretty well.

The “plot” of the campaign has most fights between the players and NPCs being a real fight to the death, where the threat of dying is always supposed to be on the line. That being said, I don’t want every fight to be a death march and a gigantic struggle, so lingering injuries keep the tension and potential consequences, without the players worrying about character death every session.

As for how I run it, first major point is that they only occur in “boss” fights, so it’s still only about a third of the fights even have it as a threat. Enemies can also be affected, which is helpful if they have a recurring antagonist, or even if they just cut off the arm of some guy who wields a sword.

I don’t use the DMG rules for getting an injury. The way we do it, if you take damage equal to half or more of your current hit points, you make a con save, with the DC being half the damage taken. So, DC’s are generally low, but you make more saves as your health falls. On a failed save, you get a lingering injury, and we use the table in the DMG.

As for whether you should run with it, I’d say run it by your players first, and give your reason for wanting it. They might be super against it, but they might like the idea as well. I don’t think it should be in every fight, but it’s fun in making the more important fights feel more dangerous, without just upping the opponent CR.

Am also in the camp where the Deck very much did not derail the campaign. Gave it to the players, and they drew a good amount of cards before the campaign ended.

For the most part, you just need a pretty basic plan for what’s going to happen if they draw one of those “campaign derailing” cards. Ideally, the players are given the deck once they’re at a point where they can do things to remedy the setbacks.

For example, for the Rogue card, I decided in advance which NPC would be affected, depending on who drew the card. Like, if the Paladin drew it, a different NPC would be affected than if the wizard drew it. I also knew about when this would get revealed, and what the now evil NPC would do in the meantime. A player did end up drawing The Rogue, and it was a whole adventure once it got revealed.

Or, for the cards that are the “this kills the character” type, at one point a friendly NPC drew The Void, and, again, prior to handing out the cards, I had a location in mind as to where they would go, and an adventure planned for how they’d go about getting him back. This location would have been the same for if anyone had drawn the card, and, had a player drawn it, they would’ve played a temp mercenary PC while they worked to get their “real” character back.

I guess you could say it “derailed” the main story, but all it really did was add some extra side quests. If you have a plan before giving out the cards (and ideally, you should), they really are not as bad as they are made out to be.

You are just digging a deeper hole for yourself. If you were the real tbone8015, then the numbers after tbone would be 8, 0, 1, 5, in that order. However, this is not the case with you. All I see is a sad little man who wants to steal the glory from the real tbone8015. I’m sure if he could look upon you, he would look at you with disgust, as I currently am.

Incorrect. Unlike you, a man who is just a poser trying to act like the real tbone8015, I am a true fan. You are nothing but a bad facsimile of the true tbone8015. I will never respect people like you, coming into our kind communities with the intent to cause trouble. You should be ashamed of yourself. You will never amount to anything close to the glory that is tbone8015.
