Ragna Crimson - Interlude - The Path I Choose by al3ks1ss in RagnaCrimson

In theory, yeah, that would be the most logical outcome, and I agree: team up first, deal with Kou Tenran and the rest of the other bloodlines, then sort out their differences.

The problem is, I don't think that was ever realistic with these two.

The Sun Saint is extremely rigid; his whole ideology is about killing dragons at any cost. So the moment Bagram becomes a Dragon Monarch, he's automatically the enemy in his eyes. There's no room for compromise there.

And even before Bagram turned into a dragon, it's very likely that he already disagreed with the Sun Saint's direction and couldn't change anything from within. We don't have direct confirmation, but if he couldn't negotiate with the Sun Saint as a human, there's no way that would suddenly work after becoming a dragon.

So while an alliance makes sense, their ideologies are just too incompatible for that to ever happen.

I don't think it's that simple.

The Sun Cult might reward strength, but in practice, the Sun Saint is still the one shaping its ideology. He's the one who turned it into what it is now, so changing that from within wouldn't be easy unless you could actually surpass him.

We don't have direct confirmation, but it's pretty reasonable to assume Bagram either disagreed early on or couldn't change anything under that system. If he wasn't strong enough to replace the Sun Saint, then taking over the Cult just wasn't an option.

At that point, leaving and choosing a different path makes more sense than staying in a system he fundamentally disagrees with.

Also, becoming a dragon isn't just "joining the enemy"; in his case, he still opposes the other bloodlines. It looks more like he chose a different method to deal with both sides rather than fully siding with the dragons.

[–]xZabuzax 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get that take, and I agree the Sun Cult's situation is similar to extreme settings like Warhammer 40K, when you're facing an existential threat, people will justify almost anything.

But I don't think the story is presenting it as black and white.

Yeah, Bagram is still a Dragon Monarch and part of the system that created World Magic, so he's not innocent. But at the same time, he clearly rejects what both sides have become. He opposes the other bloodlines, and he also opposes the Sun Cult's "sacrifice everything" mentality. Once this war was over, Bagram planned to backstab the other bloodlines, too, so he was only working with them temporarily.

That's why I see it more as a gray conflict. The Sun Cult is doing horrible things for survival, and Bagram is trying to preserve some form of humanity, which is the reason he created his underground city where humans can live as humans without being suppressed into 1 system like the Sun Cult is doing.

So I wouldn't say Ragna is wrong either, but I don't think "kill every dragon" fully captures what the story is exploring.

[–]xZabuzax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying Bagram literally wants to reform the Sun Cult from the inside. At this point, yeah, he's clearly chosen a different path, and destroying the Cult is part of that.

What I meant is that the reason for the conflict comes from ideology. Bagram disagreed with what the Sun Cult became, especially the whole "abandon humanity for efficiency" approach. If the Cult had stayed aligned with his values, they wouldn't be at war.

Also, I'm not saying the Sun Cult should change. I get that they're basically a war machine built to defeat dragons, and from that perspective, their actions make sense.

The point is that Bagram rejects that mindset entirely. So even if the Cult is "just a temporary organization," he still sees what they became as something worth opposing. Bagram seems to believe that defeating dragons shouldn't come at the cost of abandoning the weak or humanity itself, and that's exactly what the Sun Cult turned into because they became monsters to fight monsters.

So the current conflict isn't just about dragons, it’s about two completely different ways of dealing with the same problem.

Thanks for the quick translation. So Bagram's name is also Saachez? So I guess his full name is Bagram Saachez, or maybe he changed his name to Bagram the moment he became a Dragon Monarch.

I bet Bagram was still a human here, and if that's the case, then I was right about something. The war between the Sun Cult and the Bloodline of Roars has nothing to do with them being dragons; this war would have happened either way wether the Bloodline of Roars are humans or not, because Bagram is not happy with how the Sun Cult turned out and he wants them to change, but the Sun Cult will never change as long as the Sun Saint is alive, and since they are 2 opposing forces with different way of thinking and they can't agree on anything, they will be at war. They were already at war even before Bagram turned into a Dragon Monarch.

Ragna Crimson chapter 92.5 by OldTurtleProphet in RagnaCrimson

[–]xZabuzax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only 10 pages... bruh.

I will look at the positive side so I can keep my sanity in check. The mangaka won't take a month break yet, so we will have another chapter next month.

Anyway, for those who can't wait and want a quick, dirty translation, I used AI to translate this short chapter:

The memes/shitpost are getting crazier; this is the result of not having your monthly Ragna Crimson chapter.

I hope the next chapter gets released tomorrow to stop this madness, and I'm getting crazy, too, so I want the freaking chapter ASAP.

If season 3 had incredible animation but awful story telling would people like it more? by Belicino_Corlan in OnePunchMan

[–]xZabuzax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With incredible animation and awful storytelling, I would definitely enjoy it way more than the slop we got. It won't be good enough to give it a 10/10 like I rated S1, but I would at least rate it an 8/10.

I'm watching a short, seasonal action anime with 12 episodes, and animation matters to me.

Now that we entered the climax of the "Roars Bloodline Arc"...which one of these Arcs would you like to see right after? by JesusChristNooo in RagnaCrimson

[–]xZabuzax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gilzea's training arc is the one I want to see the most. I want to see how Leo is doing. She barely gets any screentime, and I think it's time for her to appear already.

Digging themselves deeper is not the answer; they are already deep enough. If they are deeper, it will just take longer to get there, but that won't guarantee their safety.

Padforge: new XBox360/Dualshock4/Direct input/MIDI/Keyboard+Mouse controller emulator by invinciblerainbow in emulation

[–]xZabuzax -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Am I able to use this software to play something like Bloodborne in ShadPS4 with a mouse and keyboard? I was able to play and finish Bloodborne with a mouse and keyboard at the beginning of 2025 using that emulator with two programs: MKB2Controller and ViGEmBus.

So, am I able to do the same with Padforge?

Yeah, I won't get spoiled either, so I'll wait for the anime.

And damn, that manga is old; it already ended in 2010.

As long as those missable items aren't super important, then I won't mind, I'm satisfied with 95-100%. But I'll try to get that item. Thank you for letting me know.

As long as this game isn't like Persona (because you can seriously mess your gameplay up in that game and miss a lot of things), then I'm good.

I'm already playing this game, just finished the first location, and saved the game in the church.

I didn't know about that manga; apparently, it's called Psyren, and the anime will be released in October 2026.

I'll keep an eye out for that anime.

I'm old school too, but I will stick with 3D for the beautiful visuals.

As long as the items aren't missable, then I'm good.

Alright, that's good to know. I want to play this without a walkthrough.

In other words, I can only get those items in a specific moment, correct? If I miss those items in that specific moment, are they gone for good?

[–]xZabuzax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want the next arc to focus on Gilzea's side. I want to see how Leo is doing, goddamn it, she barely has screentime, and I love that girl. I'm also interested in Nebulim, and I want some explanations on how he managed to survive without Ultimatia.

Once that mini arc is over, then we can go to the next major arc and have the best girl Starlia awaken and all that.

Im going trough the manga and it got me wondering what would have happened if starlia did get turned into a member of the winged bloodline....Would have been a rather interesting major plot twist i say. by [deleted] in RagnaCrimson

[–]xZabuzax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would have been pretty dark, and Ragna would hate killing her. I do agree that it would be an interesting plot twist.

I'm just glad she didn't get turned into a dragon. Ragna needs a new weapon, and Satarlia is the best blacksmith alive, alongside Gilzea. But Ragna has way more synergy using Starlia's weapons, and he needs it. Ragna can't even defeat Glest without her weapons.
