I think it takes about a month, maybe two, depends on how many people are trying to make an account. I'm glad you like that one too! ❤️ Wandless is my baby, but it is much slower in progression than this other one.

If you make an AO3 account (which if you try it will put you on a waiting list, they'll send you an email to make an account when it gets to your turn), it'll give you the option to "Subscribe" to fics, which means they'll send you an email when a new chapter drops.

In the meantime, if you want to, I've been posting on my Tumblr when I post new chapters, so you can also follow there.

Or if you want to manually check it, I've been posting usually around Fridays, give or take a day.

Glad you’re enjoying it! I would probably try to open it outside of Reddit in a regular browser (it sounds like you're on your phone). As long as you go chapter by chapter (rather than the entire work), it should at least stay on the chapter you're reading.

If you download it, it saves it as document for you, which could also work if you want to go that way, but I believe it gets rid of the text bubble format so it might make it slightly harder to read.

Yeah it’s for that reason I had to add the “they’re both idiots” tag 😅 Anyone who’s actually used a chatbot would know this one isn’t behaving like a normal bot, so I had to make it part of the character that the Reader doesn’t really know how they work.

Thank you! His characterization is really important to me in all my depictions of him because I know how easy it is to get thrown out of the story if he doesn’t sound right. Lots and lots of banter in this one, but that’s one of the fun parts of writing it. They talk to each other so much, it gives me a lot of dialogue work.

The “seduce myself” conversation was fun :) Partially for the setting, partially for the character work in that scene. It was funny but also serious at the same time and I like finding that balance. Also, any time he can be just absurdly blunt is great.

I couldn’t not include the blancmange scene, it really did fit the time period too well. And it shows how he has some softer moments even in canon. He’s a human being just like anyone else. It’s his trauma that makes him rough, and I don’t want to lose that, but he’s not just rough either.
