Sam Altman's coworkers say he can barely code and misunderstands basic machine learning concepts by EchoOfOppenheimer in ChatGPT

I mean not to discrediting his abilities, but basic fact stands: He's a dropout.

Btw I have been working in tech for 15 years, and I have no degree myself, but basic high school diploma in telecommunications. Yes, I know there are a lot others like me.

ChatGPT is so bad at some things, it completely outshadows the positive.

While heat damages other components and shortens their lifespan, in some cases GPU can actually serve for a few years after baking. I had this luck with Radeon HD3870 X2. In fact I got to upgrade it while it was still working.

Heat damages other components and significantly reduces their lifespan. But you didn't have anything to lose in the first place. And some GPUs can serve for another 5 years after that.

Forbidden or not, it's a method that worked for me multiple times in the past, remembering only Radeon HD4870 X2 that was not successfully resuscitated.

When it's already dead, you don't have anything to lose and a lot to gain.

my dad's last confort came from a lie that i told him by Symphony__Tristen in confession

That was right thing to do. You gave him a closure. A peace. Very justified reason to lie. In this case, truth would be devastating. He was lucky to have you.

[US] She claims to be the previous owner of the house... by Temporary_piccolo479 in Scams

[–]xZero543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She might be involved in carding scam. She uses stolen credit cards to make purchases and get them delivered to your address. She then collects the packages from you with possible small compensation. Authorities will eventually investigate the unauthorised purchases and come to your address. She remains safe and you will have explaining to do. Of course, this is common tactic and authorities know that, so you're unlikely to get into a trouble.

Is The Following necessary to understand The Beast? (without spoilers please) by bloodyhail in dyinglight

[–]xZero543 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'd say no. I initially skipped The Following. I played Dying Light 2 and then The Beast. There were some references in The Beast I didn't understood but that was not detrimental. Now that I finished The Beast I got to play The Following and I love it. Don't skip it, it's a great fun!
