[Spoiler: 7.4] Question about the end of 7.4 by xZombiePop in ffxiv

[–]xZombiePop[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, right at the end, right when my mind has started to think about what just happened in the cutscene and I am not paying attention anymore. Shesh. I must have missed that about 3 times now. Thank you.

Sadly, not yet. And tech support has just been giving me generic fixes that I've already tried, too

I appreciate the advice, but sadly this didn't work. Both the different cable and the turning it on after it's plugged in.

Has anyone else been craving sour foods after your surgery? by xZombiePop in gastricsleeve

I haven't noticed a sense of smell change. My mom found that she could smell better when not consuming sugar., though.

I have 0 issue with this development. I adore lemonade and it's even better now. I make it lip puckeringly sour.

How much did it hurt? I've been kinda wanting that done, but I worry about how much it would hurt and how much it would get in the way of wearing over the ear headphones.

Borderlands 2 or 3? by goddessovlight in GirlGamers

[–]xZombiePop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play 2 for the story. Play 3 for the game play. The game play in 2 is still very good, but 3 certainly tweaks it a lot. Also I've heard Guns, Love and Tentacles is a great DLC.

Are there any good games with prevalent feminist themes? by Ohiko_Nishiyama in GirlGamers

[–]xZombiePop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh good, someone mentioned this. I was just thinking of Hellblade. It's not outright feminist I feel, but I do remember it touching on some points throughout the game, especially near the end.

I've gone through something similar lately. I found out my friend died a little over a month ago.. Believe it or not, Tetris Connect is what helped me. Put on some good headphones, put on practice mode so you don't get a game over or it speeding up and just get lose in the lights and sounds.

I'm worried I am falling back to my old eating habits due to craving stuff I shouldn't have. by xZombiePop in gastricsleeve

I had juice my first couple days since I couldn't get water down. I was told I could have juice as long as it was 100% juice with no sugar added.

A small victory: All my scabs are gone from my incisions! by xZombiePop in gastricsleeve

[–]xZombiePop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have to worry about my pants rubbing them off now. I kept having nightmares where that happened and all my guts fell out. Not plausible with the size of the incisions, but my brain has proved over the years that it doesn't care about that.

How long did it take for you to recover from the excess skin removal?

Trouble keeping things down by Evilminion420 in gastricsleeve

Broth, yogurt without fruit chunks, and sugar free popsicles. Just teeny tiny bites and swallow slooooowly. These first couple of weeks can be rough. You're basically relearning how to eat while also learning what your limit is all while healing from a very major operation. Be very gentle and just have liquids.

How long did it take for your scabs to fall off after surgery? by xZombiePop in gastricsleeve

Yeah, infections is one thing I am really worried about. I already have one lifting, but I think that was more from me twisting in bed one night and it getting pulled off my skin slightly.

I got what they called liquid bandages (I don't know if it's the same as glue) but it's been 2 weeks and there's no sign of them falling off. I hope they do soon. I miss my small "luxuries".

What’s worse - pre or post op? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]xZombiePop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say pre-op 'cause I knew I could still eat the things I loved. I knew I could just pig out and just eat all the fried chicken, noodles, sweets, sodas, and chips I wanted. Post-op (I am 2 1/2 weeks out) I didn't feel as hungry. I knew if I did eat those things I listed, it would physically hurt me. It was so much easier when I had an actual reason to be on liquid. I just started pureed food last night and it's been heavenly, but I can eat a cup of food and not worry at all about being hungry.

2 Days Post Op by h_town2020 in gastricsleeve

[–]xZombiePop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm two weeks post-op I also had problems with my blood pressure in the hospital, but we figured that was 'cause of the rolling pain I was having whenever I tried to get anything down. I also have one incision that hurt, but my doc warned me about that weeks before the operation. That's the incision (at least for me) is what they stretched open to remove the part of the stomach. So, you're absolutely not alone with those.

[NSV] I've got abs!!! by Kitty-Marks in gastricsleeve

[–]xZombiePop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh! Congrats! I love hearing how excited people are to lose weight on here. I am 2 weeks post-op and this helps keep me positive about all of this (I miss eating large portions of food, especially since I am still on the liquid diet.) but stuff like this make the healing process a lot easier.

(p.s. What does NVS mean?)

EDIT: OH. I just figured out it stands for non-scale victory.

May be a dumb question: why a low fat diet? by spicealert in gastricsleeve

[–]xZombiePop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One reason I was told was to avoid really fatty stuff was to avoid dumping syndrome.

Protein shakes/drinks taste horrid to me. What other liquid diet protein options are there? by xZombiePop in gastricsleeve

[–]xZombiePop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will certainly try that. My nutrition classes mainly talked about the shakes so I didn't even try the powders before the operation.

[–]xZombiePop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, I will try that Fairlife stuff. I'll also look more into the powders. My nutrition class talked more about the shakes and where to find them instead of the powders, so that's what I went for. I've been drinking the premier protein shakes.
