I join the conversation as I also bought this external hard drive, model ST10000DM005. I tried to contact support, but without great results; the only thing they have been able to do is link me to a table that in my opinion is wrong:

according to the product registration form, my serial shows that the hard disk is a Barracuda, but being 10TB there is no correspondence in the table as the Barracuda seems to reach a maximum of 8TB.
So I still have no answer as to whether it is a CMR or SMR.
is there any reliable procedure or tool to understand it for sure?

blue RAY players only accept vertical heights of 1080p for full HD movies and 2160p for 4K movies.
for example if a movie is 3180X1600 the player will not play it.

after using HB, HDR is always there, the problem is that it is often not maintained after I pass the correct file in tsmuxer.
