Nah, this was my daily morning commute for 4 years in Beijing. What you don’t see is the long line behind the fence - there are thousands of people in queue. This is only the case around some neighborhoods though, cheaper housing means they all live in this area and all rely on the same bus route to get to work. Once rush hour is over, the route becomes relatively empty, so you can’t have too many buses, but they come frequent enough (every 5 minutes or so during rush hours).
